摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a scanner which reads documents and produces image data in a first color space; a color converter which converts image data in the first color space into image data in a second color space; a printer unit which prints out the converted image data in the second color space; and a controller which receives image data in the first color space from an external apparatus. The controller converts the received image data into image data in the second color space and transmits the converted image data to the printer unit if the received image data do not have predetermined property, and the controller transmits the received image data to the color converter without converting within the controller if the received image data have the predetermined property.

摘要: An exhaust device is used to exhaust air from inside of an apparatus to outside. The exhaust device includes a louver with blades arrayed in a lattice, the louver being detachably engaged with a trough hole in a cover of the apparatus such that the louver can rotate freely in a clockwise and a counterclockwise direction. A fan unit provided separately from the louver is positioned upstream in an airflow direction than the louver, so as not to rotate when the louver is rotated. The blades form an angle between 0° and 90° with a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the louver.

摘要: In an image processor, a data corrector corrects input image data, a determining unit determines an output tone value of a target pixel from the corrected image data and threshold, and a calculator calculates a difference between the output tone value and the corrected image data as an error value. The threshold is set in such manner that a rate of change of the mean error of the error values with respect to a change in the input tone value is within a predetermined range.

摘要: Provided is an image forming apparatus which displays display information regarding product liability, which is read out from a storage medium of a processing unit, the image forming apparatus carrying out judgment as to whether or not the processing unit is a genuine/recommended product based on the information read out from the storage medium. The image forming apparatus carries out a series of image forming process when the processing unit is a genuine or a recommended product. On the other hand, when the processing unit is an unauthorized product, the image forming apparatus displays the display information and/or the comparison result. On this account, the user can easily and securely confirm display information regarding product liability of the processing unit, and/or information regarding compatibility of the processing unit with the image forming apparatus, while ensuring superior security and reliability.

摘要: A fish-farming solid feed containing stabilized vitamin C, wherein at least 50% by mass of stabilized vitamin C, based on the total weight thereof contained in the solid feed, is present in a surface layer portion of the solid feed, spanning from the surface to a 1 mm depth; or the content of stabilized vitamin C in a surface layer portion spanning from the surface to a 1 mm depth of the solid feed is at least 50 ppm by mass. The fish-farming solid feed can be produced by a process wherein a fish-farming feed material is kneaded and shaped into a shaped product; the shaped product is dried; and then, the dried shaped product is contacted with stabilized vitamin C having been dissolved, emulsified or dispersed in a liquid such as vegetable or animal oil, preferably fish oil.

摘要: A rise time and/or a fall time of a driving voltage are set to be not less than {fraction (1/20)} of a period of natural oscillation of an ink-jet head. This suppresses a driving voltage, an amount of generated heat, and dissipated power, which increase when there is a loss due to a resistor component of a charge/discharge system, such as wiring or switching elements, caused by a large current that is flown when the driving voltage rises or falls sharply. The rise time and/or fall time may be made not more than ⅓ of the period of natural oscillation. In this way, 80% or higher efficiency can be ensured for the oscillation energy of piezoelectric elements, which increases as the rise or fall of the driving voltage becomes sharper. Further, the rise time and/or fall time may be set in the vicinity of {fraction (1/20)} of the period of natural oscillation. In this way, the ejection energy of the piezoelectric elements can be saturated almost completely. As a result, less driving voltage, less heat, and less power are required to drive piezoelectric elements, which are used in ink-jet recording apparatuses and other types of apparatuses.

摘要: A cleaning apparatus is for removing a toner from a surface of an endless belt. The cleaning apparatus includes a blade, a blade holding structure, and an abutment maintaining structure. The blade abuts on the endless belt that is supported on a tension roller. The blade holding structure holds the blade with its rotation restricted, in a movable manner in the direction of motion adjustment to adjust tension on the endless belt, and causes the blade to abut on a winding area of the endless belt with respect to the tension roller. The abutment maintaining structure allows the blade to follow up movement of the tension roller to thereby maintain abutment of the blade on the endless belt.
