摘要: Processes to produce microorganisms that can be incorporated into a microbial-based product that results in high viable cell yields and shelf-stable products are disclosed. These microbial-based products are useful for inhibiting pathogenic growth and as a food additive. A preferred microorganism is a lactic acid producing bacteria. In one embodiment, the process comprises inoculating either a fermentation medium with enterococcus or pediococcus bacterial cells, harvesting the enterococcus or pediococcus bacterial cells at least partially during the log phases, concentrating the bacterial cells, and preserving the bacterial cells at a concentration of at least 5×109 cfu/ml.

摘要: A system and method, to improve productivity, health and Life expectancy of aquatic animals using an efficient and cost effective natural effector composition comprised of gram negative bacilli and is available in suitable packaging for marketing in various quantity forms as per the need of end users such as aquarium fish exporters, importers, warehouses, retailers and like. The said effector composition reduces nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia level drastically in short time and close to 0% and retains them at low concentrations consistently. Further, the DAO, DAA, DA7 associated with transportation of aquatic animals can be bought down to 0%.

摘要: The invention relates to a food supplement comprising or consisting of Archaebacteria, and particularly methanogenic Archaebacteria, to be used as a probiotic adjunct for animal feed. The supplement can be provided to e.g. farmed animals in addition to standard feed or as a food composition. Such a supplement is particularly useful in aquaculture and proves able in increasing animal growth rates, reducing animal susceptibility to parasitic infections and/or ameliorating animal faecal waste impact on environment. Also encompassed by the present invention are methods of manufacturing a composition comprising the bioactive food supplement as well as uses thereof.

摘要: A method for capturing material extracted from biochar, the method comprising the steps of: (i) providing a biochar; (ii) contacting the biochar with a treating liquid, where the treating liquid causes the removal of solids from the pores and surface of the biochar, thereby creating a resulting solution or extract comprised of the treating liquid and removed solids; and (iii) collecting the resulting solution or extract. The method further comprises the step of apply the resulting solution or extract to soil or for use in other applications.

摘要: A hydrogel fishing bait has a fish attractive scent infused into a water swollen hydrogel. The hydrogel can be a copolymer of at least one water miscible monomer and a cross-linking monomer. The hydrogel can be a terpolymer of hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), acrylamide, and a crosslinking monomer. The hydrogel terpolymer can be prepared in the shape of a fish or other fish attracting shape. The scent can be an amino acid, protein, fatty acid, sugar, or any combination thereof, and can be from a natural or artificial source. The hydrogel can be filled with a fiber, mesh, or matrix material. The hydrogel can be an interpenetrating polymer network. The hydrogel can be biodegradable. The hydrogel baits when fully hydrated on their surface do not stick to each other.
