This systems is suitable for the efficient continuous dewatering treatment of a feeding source with a composition, consistency and nature of the solid particles present in the feeding source susceptible to vary during the processing.

    摘要: A filter device for the clarification of contaminated liquids includes a vessel configured to contain the liquid to be clarified. A first carrying disk is arranged within the vessel and is rotationally driven about a rotational axis. Mounting rods are attached to and extend generally perpendicular from the carrying disk. A plurality of filter modules including spaced apart filter elements extend generally parallel to the carrying disk. Each of the filter modules is rotationally fixed relative to the carrying disk at least in part by the mounting rods. The filter modules have a radially inward end spaced radially from the rotational axis of the carrying disk. The ends of the filter modules circumscribe a cavity within the vessel having a longitudinal axis corresponding to the rotational axis of the carrying disk. The cavity is configured such that a cleaning fluid medium from within the cavity flows radially out from said cavity and between the filter elements to clean the filter elements.

The disc is mounted and secured onto a hollow shaft. The hollow shaft is connected to a vacuum source, external to the filter, that allows for the passage of the filtrate to a receiver. There are elongated slots in the wall of the shaft which provide the passage of filtrate from the disc. The shaft provides rotational force for the discs.

    摘要: Apparatus for cleaning a filter cloth in a filtering device with a rotatable drum having an inlet for the liquid to be filtered. The drum has in its circumferential surface openings through which the liquid to be filtered is conducted in a filtering direction out of the drum for filtering through a filter cloth. The cleaning apparatus includes at least one spray nozzle which is adapted to spray cleaning liquid onto a portion of the filter cloth in a direction opposite to the filtering direction. Moreover the apparatus comprises a driving device for providing a reciprocating motion of the spray nozzle. The driving device has a coupling which is adapted to transform the rotary motion of the drum into the reciprocating motion of the spray nozzle, with such a ratio that the rotary motion of the drum and the reciprocating motion of the spray nozzle are out of phase with each other.

    摘要: In an apparatus containing rotating filter media that removes solids from a fluid stream, the invention provides devices and methods for improved cleaning of the filter media. Solids trapped on the filter media are removed by the application of a pressurized fluid spray system. The spray system has nozzles distributed across a spray arm. The nozzles create a generally elliptical spray fan pattern in contact with the filter media. The nozzles are spaced and angularly oriented on the spray arm so that adjacent spray fan contact areas overlap. This distribution and orientation equalizes the distribution of the washing flow and hydraulic energy over the filter area, thereby maintaining the filter material in a more uniformly clean and effective filtering condition.

A vacuum is applied on the filtrate side of the filtration region (KF). The filtrate region (FF) has two filtration zones (FF1 and FF2) with mutually different pressure conditions. The filtration zone FF1 has atmospheric pressure and the filtration zone FF2 has a pressure that is lower than the pressure of FF1. The pressure change between the filtration zones (FF1 and FF2) occurs in the pre-filtrate region, i.e., before the filter surface has reached the filtrate region (KF).

    摘要: A uniform area shower for use with a disc filter. The disc filter includes at least one disc and moving showers that periodically remove a precoat layer of solids from the surface of the disc. In one embodiment the uniform area shower comprises a oscillating shower that is pivotly mounted and travels radially over the disc. In an alternative embodiment the uniform area shower comprises a traversing shower that mounts to a carriage and travels radially over the disc. Each shower includes a controller controlling the drive mechanism to vary the speed of transport of the shower across the surface of the disc such that time spent by the shower cleaning the disc at each radial cleaning position is generally proportional to the radial distance of the cleaning position from the center of the disc so that a wash liquid is applied to a uniform area of the interior and exterior of the disc. At the interior of the disc, where there is a smaller surface area, the oscillating shower moves faster than at the exterior of the disc where the surface area is greater.
