    Abstract: A pressure equalizing valve featuring a housing defining a chamber, the housing having first and second passages therethrough opening into the chamber; a valve seat in the chamber surrounding the opening of the second passage thereinto; a diaphragm having its periphery sealed to the housing and forming a wall of the chamber adjacent to the valve seat; resilient means on the side of the diaphragm opposite the valve seat for urging the diaphragm against the seat with a predetermined force, to seal the second passage from the chamber, and hence from the first passage; and an indicator mounted on the housing and having a pressure responsive portion in communication with the chamber for indicating when the air pressure therein is below a predetermined value just sufficient to overcome the predetermined force and unseal the second passage.

    Abstract: An air pressure adjusting device includes a supplying device and a reception circuit configured to receive a detection signal that includes information indicating an air pressure of a tire. The supplying device includes a piston that supplies air to the tire by being moved by rotation of the tire. The air pressure adjusting device includes a switching unit and a controller. The switching unit is configured to be switched between a first state, in which the switching unit allows movement of the piston, and a second state, in which the switching unit prohibits movement of the piston. The controller is configured to control the switching unit. The controller is configured to obtain the information indicating the air pressure of the tire from the detection signal received by the reception circuit, switch the switching unit to the second state when the air pressure of the tire is greater than or equal to a threshold, and switch the switching unit to the first state when the air pressure of the tire is less than the threshold.

    Abstract: The vehicle tire inflation system comprises an air jacket and an air hose. The air jacket may reside within a wheel of a vehicle and may be mounted to the inside of a rim of the wheel. The air jacket may determine that a tire of the wheel has at least partially deflated by sensing that tire pressure within the wheel has dropped below a first pressure threshold. The air jacket may release compressed air within the wheel until the air jacket senses that the tire pressure has reached a second pressure threshold such that the tire may be reinflated. The air hose may be configured to couple the air jacket to a tire pressure monitoring system such that the air jacket has access to an external air supply located outside of the wheel via the tire pressure monitoring system.
