摘要： There is provided a feed apparatus including a support unit, a feed roller, a swingable arm to support the feed roller, a guide unit, a movable member movable to a retracted position and a protruding position at which the movable member can abut against the sheet supported by the support unit, a driving source, driving transmission units; and a contact-separating mechanism to move the feed roller to a separated position and an abutment position at which the feed roller abuts against the sheet supported by the support unit. In a state in which the movable member is the protruding position and the feed roller is the separated position, a time required to start feeding of the sheet by the feed roller moved from the separated position to the abutment position is longer than a time required to shift the movable member from the protruding position to the retracted position.

摘要： A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a supporter having a support surface; a supplier including a supply roller rotatable about a rotation axis; a separator for separating sheets; a stopper pivotable about a first axis and movable between a first position at which a distal end portion of the stopper intersects a conveyance path and a second position at which the distal end portion is separated from the support surface; and a stopper cam pivotable about a second axis and movable between a third position at which the stopper cam contacts the distal end portion at the first position and a fourth position at which the stopper cam is spaced apart from the distal end portion at the first position. The second axis is located upstream of the rotation axis of the supply roller and farther from the support surface than the rotation axis.

摘要： A printer includes a sheet stopper that rotates between a regulating position where a sheet placed in the feeding tray is regulated and a passing position where the sheet placed in a feeding tray is passed through, and an inversion path introduction unit that rotates between a forward-feeding position and a reverse-feeding position of introducing the sheet. The inversion path introduction unit is disposed at the forward-feeding position when a sheet is conveyed in a sheet feeding direction. The inversion path introduction unit is disposed at the reverse-feeding position when a sheet is conveyed in a direction opposite to the sheet feeding direction and the inversion path introduction unit introduces the sheet into an inversion path. The sheet stopper changes the regulating position and the passing position in conjunction with rotation of the inversion path introduction unit.

The first toothless part of the first gear and the second toothless part of the second gear are provided at such a position that, when the intermediate gear is rotated by a drive force transmitted from the input gear through the second swinging gear while the second swinging gear meshes with the second toothed part of the second gear and the output gear meshes with the first toothed part of the first gear, the first toothless part reaches a position confronting the output gear and then the second toothless part reaches a position confronting the second swinging gear.

摘要： A manual paper-sheet feed portion of an image forming apparatus includes a manual tray, a feed opening, a feed roller, and a shutter. The manual tray is shifted to an opened state, whereby placement of a recording medium becomes possible. The feed opening accepts feeding of the recording medium to a conveyance path. The feed roller feeds the recording medium to the conveyance path. When the feeding of the recording medium to the conveyance path is started, the shutter swings in one direction to open the feed opening, and when a rear end of the recording medium passes through the feed opening, the shutter swings in the other direction to return to a position where to shield the feed opening.
