Abstract: A sheet transport device includes a pair of movable transport rollers capable of transporting a sheet while holding the sheet and capable of moving in an axial direction crossing a transportation direction; pairs of first transport rollers disposed at a distance from each other upstream from the pair of movable transport rollers in the transportation direction to transport the sheet while holding the sheet; and pairs of first transport guides disposed to define sheet transport spaces between the pair of movable transport rollers and the pairs of first transport rollers and between the pairs of first transport rollers. When the pair of movable transport rollers is moved in the axial direction, at least one of the pairs of first transport rollers is displaced in a direction to widen the transport space.

Abstract: A sheet transport device includes a pair of movable transport rollers capable of transporting a sheet while holding the sheet and moving in an axial direction crossing a transportation direction; pairs of first transport rollers upstream from the pair of movable transport rollers in the transportation direction while being spaced apart from each other to transport the sheet while holding the sheet; and pairs of transport guides to define sheet transport spaces between the pair of movable transport rollers and the pairs of first transport rollers and between the pairs of first transport rollers. When the pair of movable transport rollers is to be moved in the axial direction, at least one pair of first transport rollers transports the sheet while bending the sheet in the transport space by producing a difference in transport rate within a portion of a section upstream from the pair of movable transport rollers.

Abstract: A driving roller for conveying a sheet to a sheet punching unit, and a sheet inverting unit including a driving roll capable of being driven to rotate by the driving roller are provided between a branching point, at which a return path of a sheet conveying path is branched, and a sheet punching unit. When a subsequent sheet for which a punching process is performed next reaches the sheet inverting unit, the sheet to which the punching process has been performed by the sheet punching unit is conveyed to the return path by the driving roll while making the sheet pass by a subsequent sheet conveyed to the sheet punching unit by the driving roller.

Abstract: There is provided a document processing device and a document processing method capable of aligning and loading documents being transported surely and at a high speed. Abstract: A sheet inverter apparatus improves the handling capabilities of high speed printers and copiers. The sheet inverter apparatus includes a rotatable support having an axis of rotation and at least first and second arms radiating outwardly from the axis of rotation. First and second nip assemblies are is mounted to the first and second arms respectively. The support is rotatable to adjust positions of the first and second nips about the axis of rotation. Advantageously, with this arrangement, the support is adjustable so as to permit the first and second nips to receive sheets of paper at one location, be positionally adjusted with the sheets of paper moving therewith, and located at a second location so as to deliver the paper to an outlet feed path.
