    Abstract: An apparatus including a clock housing formed of a conventional clockwork to drive an hour and minute hand in a typical fashion relative to the clock face. A series of digits are defined about the clock face for indication of time. An indicator arm mounting an indicator ring at a forward terminal end thereof is pivotal about the clockwork axis and frictionally engageable thereto to selectively indicate a predetermined digit for visual inidication to a child of an impending time frame. A modification of the instant invention includes transparent plates with aluminum members mounted rearwardly thereof selectively actuatable for selective illumination of various digits for indication of a time member digit. Further, the organization selectively includes a farrow magnetic ring mounted in surrounding relationship relative to the clock face for securement of a marker for positioning of the marker relative to an impending time digit.

    Abstract: An analog clock is provided having three hands for indicating hours, minutes, and seconds. An hours hand is positioned in a conventional manner, rotating at an hours rate around a central point. A minutes hand is located at any satellite point along the hours hand except the central point and rotates about this satellite point at a minutes rate. A seconds hand is located anywhere along either the minutes hand or the hours hand and rotates at a seconds rate.

    Abstract: A novelty clock is provided wherein a spherical representation of the earth rotates about the face of the clock as would a second hand. While rotating about the face of the clock, the earth also rotates upon its own axis, thereby providing a more realistic and appealing visual effect. The special motion of the earth is achieved by a motion producing mechanism driven by the rotational force of the shaft which ordinarily drives the second hand of the clock.

    Abstract: A clock has a clock face in the form of an axially symmetric solid, e.g. a sphere, a cone or a cylinder. Clock hands extend around the clock face following a helical path, and time-indicating markings are arranged on all the surfaces of the face. It is therefore possible for a complete set of these markings to be seen from any direction relative to the clock face. The hands are normally driven by a conventional clock movement, there being an hour hand and a minute hand. However, it would be possible in some applications to have only a single hand, e.g. a minute hand, and to drive the clock face relative to the hand. The markings are arranged along helical paths, corresponding to the helical shape of the hands.

    Abstract: A set of one or more closed receptacles, each having an internal partition dividing the interior into two compartments, each compartment being partially filled with a translucent flowable material such as a colored liquid. Preferably the receptacles are cylindrical in shape with the partitions extending diametrically, and the flowable material in a receptacle compartment is of a different color from that of the other compartment of the receptacle and, desirably, different from the color of flowable materials in other compartments of a particular set. Means are provided for rotating the receptacles about axes transverse to their partitions and, when a set of two receptacles is used as a clock, one receptacle is rotated at two revolutions per day and the other at one revolution per hour, as by a conventional synchronous clock motor. Thus, the partitions of such a set serve as hour and minute hands respectively, and each partition may be provided with a small marker or indicium near one of its ends to serve as the pointer for the hand. A third smaller receptacle may be driven at one revolution per minute, its partition thus serving as a second hand. The two or three receptacles of a set may be coaxially arranged one behind another, or with their circular faces all visible to the observer, as in a common plane. In the coaxial arrangement, the changing color relationships seen by the observer provide an understanding of the theory of subtractive mixture of colors. A light source may be provided behind the set of receptacles, and each receptacle is desirably mounted to facilitate setting of the time which it indicates.

    Abstract: An electronic timepiece includes: a 6 o'clock information display unit that displays one display mode among a plurality of display modes including a barometric display mode in which a barometric pressure is displayed, using a first display hand; a 10 o'clock information display unit that displays a change in the barometric pressure using a second hand in a case in which the display mode displayed by the 6 o'clock information display unit is the barometric display mode; a 2 o'clock information display unit that displays the barometric pressure using measurement display hands in the case in which the display mode displayed by the 6 o'clock information display unit is the barometric display mode; and a time display unit that displays a time using an hour hand and a minute hand irrespective of the display mode.
