摘要: A reverberation system produces reverberant sound supposed to be generated when sound emitted from a real sound source location inside a virtual acoustic room to be simulated is reflected by virtual room partitions surrounding the same, based on a set of stored impulse responses of reverberant sound actually or virtually observed at different observation positions in the vicinity of room partitions defining an actual or virtual model acoustic room. Digital filters each convolute a source signal representing the emitted sound, using coefficient parameters representing the corresponding stored impulse response, to thereby synthesize a virtual reverberant sound signal at each of simulation positions corresponding to the observation positions. Signal delay devices each delay the output of the corresponding digital filter, by a signal delay time controlled by a time delay setting device to thereby equivalently move the virtual room partition(s) of the virtual acoustic room relative to the real sound source location, and hence virtually change the virtual acoustic room into a desired shape.

摘要: A DSP programming apparatus capable not only of reducing work load for software engineers at the time of doing DSP programming but also of modularizing commonly usable algorithms, as well as to provide a DSP device capable of storing programs prepared by the DSP programming apparatus. A module storage unit stores a plurality of modules on a function basis in advance, and modules are linked by combining on a display screen through a GUI (graphical user interface) function by an input section. The linked DSP programs are converted into a DSP microprogram in executable form by a microprogram preparing section, and the microprogram is then transferred to a DSP through a transfer section.

摘要: A system for interpreting the requests and performance of an instrumental soloist, stated in the parlance of the musician and within the context of a specific published edition of music the soloist is using, to control the performance of a digitized musical accompaniment. Sound events and their associated attributes are extracted from the soloist performance and are numerically encoded. The pitch, duration and event type of the encoded sound events are then compared to a desired sequence of the performance score to determine if a match exists between the soloist performance and the performance score. If a match exists between the soloist performance and the performance score, the system instructs a music synthesizer module to provide an audible accompaniment for the soloist. The system provides a method for editing a tempo map associated with the performance score to indicate the tempo of the accompaniment at a location within the performance score. The system further provides a method for creating a custom pause associated with the performance score to indicate a pause in the accompaniment at a location within the performance score. The accompaniment is resumed when the soloist either plays a note or taps a foot pedal or key on a keyboard.

摘要: A tone signal control system for controlling a tone signal supplied from a tone generator. The tone signal control system includes a CPU for executing a computational and control operation in accordance with an externally stored program, a DSP for executing a computational and control operation in accordance with an internally stored program, a memory accessible by both CPU and DSP, and an access controller for controlling an access by CPU and DSP to the memory. The access controller calculates a logical product of a clock signal, an access signal from CPU, and an access signal from DSP, and outputs the logical product as a CPU wait signal. The tone signal control system is not required to increase the number of pins too many even if CPU and DSP are assembled on a single chip.

摘要: A designating mechanism generates filtering designation data, which designate the contents of filtering, reverberating designation data, which designate the contents of reverberation, and characteristics data, which express the combined contents of filtering and reverberation. A parameters generating mechanism generates filtering parameters expressing filtering characteristics, and generates reverberating parameters expressing reverberation characteristics. A readout device reads out a first operating algorithm, which designates filtering designation data, and a second operating algorithm, which designates reverberating designation data, from a memory mechanism wherein a plurality of operating algorithms are stored. A computing mechanism creates a digital filter having characteristics corresponding to filtering parameters, based on the first operating algorithm, creates an operating unit having reverberation characteristics corresponding to reverberating parameters, based on the second operating algorithm, operates this digital filter and this operating unit in a time shared manner, and processes filtering and reverberation in parallel.

摘要: When a plurality of effects are simultaneously applied to an input audio signal, a plurality of effect-algorithms each for applying solely an effect to the input signal are stored in a memory, and a plurality of combination-algorithms or combination-data which represent combinations of the effects and orders in which effects are applied to the input audio signal are stored in the memory. When one of the combination-algorithms or the combination-data is selected, effect-algorithms included in the selected combination-algorithm or combination-data are selectively read out from the memory. A program for applying effects in a predetermined combination and order is written by CPU based on the read out effect-algorithms and combination-algorithm or combination-data. Receiving the program, DSP successively applies effects to the input audio signal in accordance with the program. As a result, the present effector needs less memory capacity than the conventional effector in which a number of programs consisting of combinations of effect-algorithms are previously stored. A multi-effector comprised of a connection of a digital effect adding device and an analog effect adding device, is provided with a memory having a plurality of memory areas for storing audio signals. An input audio signal, an input signal to the analog effect adding device and an output signal of the digital effect adding device are stored in respective memory areas of the memory. Whether either of input signals is supplied to the digital effect adding device or whether the output signal of the digital effect adding device is input to the analog effect adding device or the output signal is output as a final signal are decided by operation of an externally operated switch. In this way, the order in which effects are applied can be altered independently of the connection of the above two effect adding devices.

摘要: In a Karaoke apparatus, a sound synthesizer reproduces an instrumental accompaniment of a song requested by a singer during the course of a vocal performance of the song by the singer. A whole of the instrumental accompaniment is provisionally divided into a plurality of blocks each having a start address and an end address. A detector successively detects start and end addresses of each block with progression of the reproduction of the instrumental accompaniment. A skip command is inputted by a skip switch when a certain block is being reproduced. A controller responds to the detector and the skip switch, and operates when an end address of said certain block is detected for controlling the sound synthesizer to skip an immediately succeeding block to thereby continue to a start address of a further succeeding block during the course of the reproduction of the instrumental accompaniment. Further, a repeat command may be inputted by a repeat switch so as to effect repeat reproduction of a certain block.

摘要: An automotive audio system separates audio signals from an audio signal source into first and second components. The first component of the audio signal is sent directly to a first main amplifier and reproduced through a main speaker or speakers. On the other hand, the second component of the audio signal is sent to a second main amplifier after a predetermined delay time determined by a delay circuit. The delayed second component of the audio signal is reproduced through a auxiliary speaker or speakers after the predetermined delay time. The first and auxiliary speakers are distinct and preferably located at different points in the vehicle compartment. As a result, the directly reproduced first component and the delayed second component are reproduced through different audio sound sources. This affords the listener higher-quality audio sound and better ambience. If necessary, an echo signal generator may be added to the second component reproduction system to provide an echo effect. In this case, since the second component is reproduced by the second speaker or speakers which are different from the main speaker or speakers which reproduce the direct first component, the echo effect can be optimized for good ambience.

摘要: A reverberation circuit comprises an amplifier, attenuation circuit, a feedback component, and a delay circuit. The amplifier, delay circuit, and feedback component form a feedback loop. The amplifier amplifies an input signal supplied to an input terminal and outputs an amplified signal to the delay circuit. The output of the delay circuit is fed through a feedback component back to the amplifier. The feedback component controllably varies the feedback amount of the delayed signal to the amplifier in accordance with the desired depth of reverberation. An attenuation circuit is placed in the feedback loop, or before or after the feedback loop. The attenuation circuit selectively attenuates the level of specific frequency component of a signal passing therethrough whose frequency may be different depending on the depth of reverberation or feedback amount. The attenuation circuit is adjusted in interlocked relation with the feedback component such that when the feedback amount is increased, the level of the specific frequency components in the output signal of the reverberation circuit is decreased.
