摘要: A signal processing apparatus has a first memory in which plural pieces of FIR coefficient data used for implementing an FIR filter algorithm are stored, a second memory which stores plural pieces of input data to be subjected to the FIR filter algorithm, and a processor implements the FIR filter algorithm using the plural pieces of FIR coefficient data stored in the first memory and the plural pieces of input data stored in the second memory as many times as the number corresponding to a designated filter order, in which filter algorithm each piece of coefficient data and each piece of input data are multiplied together and resultant products are summed up. The signal processing apparatus is provided, which can implement plural sorts of FIR filter algorithms of filter order which can be changed flexibly.

摘要: When an instruction is provided for changing a characteristic of a set filter which includes a plurality of partial filters and forms a specified characteristic by combining a plurality of partial filters, a processor performs, as crossfading processing for a first filter and a second filter among the plurality of partial filters, fade-out processing of gradually decreasing a degree of contribution of the first filter to the characteristic and fade-in processing of gradually increasing a degree of contribution of the second filter to the characteristic. As a result, unnaturalness occurring at the time of changing filter characteristics is solved.

摘要: A device is provided as part of a system, the device being for capturing vibrations produced by an object such as a musical instrument. Via a fixation element, the device is fixed to a drum. The device has a sensor spaced apart from a surface of the drum, located relative to the drum, and a magnet adjacent the sensor. The fixation element transmits vibrations from its fixation point on the drum to the magnet. Vibrations from the surface of the drum and from the magnet are transmitted to the sensor. A method may further be provided for interpreting an audio input, such as the output of the sensors within the system, the method comprising identifying an audio event or grouping of audio events within audio data, generating a model of the audio event that includes a representation of a timbre characteristic, and comparing that representation to expected representations.

摘要: An audio depth dynamic range enhancement system and method for enhancing the dynamic range of depth in audio sound systems as perceived by a human listener. Embodiments of the system and method process an input audio signal by applying a gain function to at least one of a plurality of sub-signals of the audio signal having different values of a spatial depth parameter. The sub-signals are combined to produce a reconstructed audio signal carrying modified audio information. The reconstructed audio signal is output from the system and method for reproduction by the audio sound system. The gain function alters the gain of the at least one of the plurality of sub-signals such that the reconstructed audio signal, when reproduced by the audio sound system, results in modified depth dynamic range of the audio sound system with respect to the spatial depth parameter.
