    摘要： The invention concerns a method of transmission of a digital content stream to receivers and a corresponding method of reception. In order to synchronize digital content rendering over these receivers, while supporting trick mode commands, the method of transmission comprises a step of sending of a common time reference to the receivers, a step of reception of a trick mode command message, the received trick mode command message comprising information allowing identification of a point in the digital content stream, a step of sending of notification messages to all of the at least two receivers notifying them of the received trick mode command message and a step of sending of at least part of the digital content stream to all receivers in accordance with the received trick mode command message, the digital content stream comprising information allowing to identify a point in the digital content stream.

    摘要： A method is disclosed for modulating both quadrature components of each of a plurality of RF signals with waveforms comprising time varying vectors uniquely associated with each of the RF signals, the RF signals each occupying a bandwidth of a television channel and together comprising a multichannel signal spanning a frequency range that is substantially centered about a center frequency F. A CW signal is generated having a frequency equal to the center frequency F. Digital representations are produced of a first composite baseband signal and a second composite baseband signal. The digital representations of the first and second composite baseband signals are converted to a first analog and a second analog composite baseband signal respectively. The CW signal with the first analog and the second analog composite baseband signals are modulated in quadrature to generate the multichannel signal.

    摘要： A multichannel television access control system is disclosed wherein processing of the broadband signal is performed by gated coherent RF injection on a plurality of channels, thereby effecting selective descrambling of an arbitrary subset of channels in a channel group. The system provides for a closed loop injection signal phasor control so as to maintain substantially constant relationship between the television signals and the injected signals. The combined signals are supplied to subscribers enabling the use of their cable ready equipment.

    摘要： In a known copy protection process for preventing recording of video signals, pseudo sync and AGC pulses are present on predetermined lines within the blanking intervals of the video signal so that any subsequent video tape recording of the video signal shows a picture of very low entertainment quality. This copy protection process is defeated first by determining the location of the video lines containing the copy protection using the color burst signal or chroma in the horizontal blanking interval to determine on-line detection. Then some or all of the lines including copy protection signals are modified so as to render the overall video signal recordable. The modification is accomplished in a number of ways, including gain shifting portions of the video signal, level shifting portions of the video signal, bandwidth limiting certain portions of the video signal or replacing certain portions of the video signal with other video elements.
