    摘要： Apparatus for attaching and bi-directionally tensioning a porous fabric over a flexible, rectangular form support. A frame comprises a pair of rigid, parallel frame members connected by a pair of parallel cross members. The ends of the frame members contain legs that contact the form support in each corner thereof. Suction cups located on the cross members allow the form support to be attached to the frame and pulled towards the frame such that the edges of the form support flex between adjacent legs. Once the form support has been flexed, the porous fabric is wrapped over and attached to the form support at the corners and along all sides. After the porous fabric is completely attached to the form support, the frame is removed so the form support can return to its flat unflexed, rectangular dimensions. The result is that the porous fabric is bi-directionally stretched over the form support such that a uniform tension of 50 to 300 kg/lineal meter is created. The tensioned fabric and form support are useful in concrete formliner applications.

    摘要： A single station hemming device for hemming the upstanding peripheral flange of an outer element to overlie the periphery of an inner element to thereby join the outer element to the inner element. The hemming device has a series of hemming tools positioned end-to-end around the periphery of the outer element, each hemming tool being actuated in unison by a single motor to simultaneously hem the peripheral flange of the outer part. Each hemming tool is cam operated through a system of links by a single actuator to move in a first arcuate direction generally transversely of the flange to do a first stage hemming operation of about 35.degree.-55.degree.; then in a second arcuate direction to lift it above the flange and then in a third arcuate direction generally parallel to the original orientation of the flange to complete the remaining approximately 55.degree.-35.degree. of hemming of the flange. One or more of the hemming tools can be provided with a reciprocable piercing tool to pierce a tab of the peripheral flange of the outer element and an adjacent surface of a raised pad of the inner element, after conclusion of the hemming operation, to interlock the outer element and the inner element together.

    摘要： The invention relates to convoluting a doubled, unknotted length of thread about a clip which is closed about the gathered mouth of a tubular wrapper such as a sausage casing to form a loop by which the sausage can be hung. The clip secures the loop to the casing and the weight of the sausage merely makes a tighter grip. An apparatus to produce the loop secured to the clip and casing comprises a punch, a clip guide having opposite grooves for guiding the clip legs, a die for receiving each clip and for cooperating with the punch to close the clip around the gathered mouth end of the wrapper, a thread-withdrawing device disposed beside the clip feed path, a thread snubber and a looping hook, a winding head which is axially displaceable into the feed path for the clip, the winding head being provided with a groove in its end face and a thread-receiving recess transverse to the axis of the winding head and somewhat set back from its end face, part of the groove and the thread-receiving recess defining a hook, and means for rotating the winding head so as to form an eyelet in the thread independent of the loop, advance of the clip causing one of the clip legs to enter the eyelet and the clip thereafter closing.

A magazine having a supply of wire clips is arranged to feed clips to the anvil. A plunger is movable to and from the anvil. When it moves to the anvil it deforms a wire clip round a portion of the bag on the anvil. An air motor is provided for moving the plunger or it can be moved by hand.
