摘要: A yarn or thread may include a plurality of substantially aligned filaments, with at least ninety-five percent of a material of the filaments being a thermoplastic polymer material. Various woven textiles and knitted textiles may be formed from the yarn or thread. The woven textiles or knitted textiles may be thermal bonded to other elements to form seams. A strand that is at least partially formed from a thermoplastic polymer material may extend through the seam, and the strand may be thermal bonded at the seam. The woven textiles or knitted textiles may be shaped or molded, incorporated into products, and recycled to form other products.

摘要: A non-woven textile may be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The non-woven textile may have a first region and a second region, with the filaments of the first region being fused to a greater degree than the filaments of the second region. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear), may incorporate the non-woven textile. In some of these products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another textile element to form a seam. More particularly, an edge area of the non-woven textile may be heatbonded with an edge area of the other textile element at the seam. In other products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another component, whether a textile or a non-textile.

摘要: Novel or improved microporous single or multilayer battery separator membranes, separators, batteries including such membranes or separators, methods of making such membranes, separators, and/or batteries, and/or methods of using such membranes, separators and/or batteries are provided. In accordance with at least certain embodiments, a multilayer dry process polyethylene/polypropylene/polyethylene microporous separator which is manufactured using the inventive process which includes machine direction stretching followed by transverse direction stretching and a subsequent calendering step as a means to reduce the thickness of the multilayer microporous membrane, to reduce the percent porosity of the multilayer microporous membrane in a controlled manner and/or to improve transverse direction tensile strength. In a very particular embodiment, the inventive process produces a thin multilayer microporous membrane that is easily coated with polymeric-ceramic coatings, has excellent mechanical strength properties due to its polypropylene layer or layers and a thermal shutdown function due to its polyethylene layer or layers. The ratio of the thickness of the polypropylene and polyethylene layers in the inventive multilayer microporous membrane can be tailored to balance mechanical strength and thermal shutdown properties.

摘要: A method for resistance welding of two fiber-composite components to give a fiber-composite structure includes arranging conductive fibers within a jointing region of the two fiber-composite components, where each conductive fiber includes a carbon fiber with an electrically insulating coating. An electric current is passed through the conductive fibers to heat the jointing region to a welding temperature and melt the fiber-composite components in the jointing region. The jointing region is hardened in a manner that bonds the two fiber-composite components by way of the jointing region to give the fiber-composite structure.

摘要: The present layered stretchable sheet includes: a plurality of attachment portions at which a pair of non-woven fabrics and a film are thermally bonded together, wherein each one of the attachment portions includes at least one thermal bonding area where the pair of non-woven fabrics and the film are thermally bonded together; at least one boundary line that defines the thermal bonding area; a first vent that is defined by a first opening of the film appearing in a stretched state of the film along the boundary line and that exerts air permeability; and a second vent that is defined by a second opening where a part of the film is absent, the second opening being adjacent to the thermal bonding area and being delimited by the boundary line, wherein the second vent exerts air permeability both in the stretched state and in a non-stretched state.

The electrode includes a first layer comprising a metal integral conductive silicone rubber material configured to lay proximate to a wearer of the garment. The electrode may also include a second layer including a conducting metal sheet and a conductive lead coupled to the second layer. A non-conducting layer is configured to lay proximate to the compression fabric.
