Abstract: The bedding groomer comprises a frame attachable to an ag vehicle such as a skid loader or tractor for movement down the alley of a free stall barn. Pivotally supported on the frame is an elongate shroud that can be moved from a raised travel position to a lowered, laterally extending working position by a hydraulic cylinder. Rotatably mounted within the shroud is an elongated arbor driven by a hydraulic motor. Along the length of the arbor is a plurality of radially projecting tines. As the ag vehicle travels down the alley, the tines dig into the animal bedding material, churning it, to break up hard packed and compressed areas and to aerate deep within the bedding to aid in aerobic composting any organic material, such as manure, that is present in the bedding.

Abstract: An animal toilet has a front-rear direction, a right-left direction and an up-down direction that intersect each other. The animal toilet is provided with an upper container that is provided with a plurality of holes through which urine passes below, a lower container that is positioned below the upper container and has formed an insert hole on a front face, and a tray that is housed from the insert hole into the lower container in a manner being allowed to be pulled out forward, and made to receive and store the urine that falls through the holes of the upper container. A front part of the tray is not protruding in front of the front face of the lower container when seen from the right-left direction. The front part of the tray has an exposed portion. An upside and a downside of the exposed portion are exposed to an outside space. An upper part and a lower part of the exposed portion are respectively provided with a geometrically deformed portion having a shape changed from a surrounding portion.

Abstract: A mat for a bovine animal has an elastomeric body having a ground-engaging underside and a top side, the mat having a head end and a tail end. The top side has a generally planar area on which a cow may rest in use, and a portion of the generally planar area towards the head end is bounded on either side and across the head end thereof by a barrier integrally formed with the elastomeric material of the mat. The barrier projects upwardly above the generally planar area, and defines a pair of arms extending on either side of the bounded portion. The configuration of the mat encourages an animal to rest correctly on the mat, increasing comfort and reducing the chance of injury, while also avoiding the problems of hygiene and installation difficulties associated with known mats and their accessories.
