摘要: A process for removing Pb2+ toxins from bodily fluids is disclosed. The process involves contacting the bodily fluid with an ion exchange composition to remove the metal toxins in the bodily fluid, including blood and gastrointestinal fluid. Alternatively, blood can be contacted with a dialysis solution which is then contacted with the ion exchange composition. The ion exchange compositions are represented by the following empirical formula:
AmTiaNb1-aSixOy
having either the pharmacosiderite, sitinakite, pharmacosiderite-sitinakite intergrowth topologies or mixtures thereof. A composition comprising the above ion exchange compositions in combination with bodily fluids or dialysis solution is also disclosed. The ion exchange compositions may be supported by porous networks of biocompatible polymers such as carbohydrates or proteins.-

摘要: According to embodiments, a method of producing a catalyst composition may include forming a slurry including an initial zeolite material, a surfactant, silica, and metal precursors, wherein the metal precursors contain a nickel-containing compound and a silver-containing compound, extruding the slurry to produce an extrudate, drying and calcining the extrudate to form a dried and calcined extrudate, hydrothermally treating the dried and calcined extrudate to form a hydrothermally-treated extrudate, and drying and calcining the hydrothermally-treated extrudate to produce the catalyst composition, wherein the catalyst composition includes zeolite, one or more oxides of nickel, and one or more oxides of silver.

摘要: A method of forming a gas treatment element for use in a gas treatment apparatus, such as a desiccant dryer, is disclosed. The element is formed by casting a sheet material by phase inversion of a dope mixture including a solvent, an adsorbent material such as a desiccant and a polymer binder. Layers of the sheet material are located adjacent one another and this is most readily achieved by rolling the sheet material to form the gas treatment element.

摘要: A system and process for the recovery of at least one anesthetic from a gas stream including at least two anesthetics. The recovery includes adsorption by exposing the gas stream to an adsorbent. The adsorbent is then regenerated by exposing the adsorbent to a purge gas under conditions which efficiently desorb the at least two anethetics from the adsorbent. The at least two anesthetics (and impurities or reaction products) are condensed from the purge gas and subjected to fractional distillation to provide a recovered anesthetic.
