Abstract:
A dispensing device comprises a cap (1) attachable to a container, the device being configured to dispense a liquid ingredient into the container, the device including at least one plunger (13) and at least one cylinder. The plunger arranged to slide in a respective cylinder, is substantially hollow having a closed end (15) and an open end (17), the open end (17) having a peripheral edge, and the peripheral edge being adapted such that the surface tension of the liquid in the region of the open end (17) is disrupted.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a container for delivering a nutritive substance. In an embodiment, the present invention comprises a container that protects a nutritive substance from contact with the contents of the container and from contact with the atmosphere until the consumer is ready to use or consume the product. When desired, a seal on the container is altered such that the nutritive substance can come into contact with the container contents, delivering the nutritive substance thereto.
Abstract:
Mixer for biphasic compounds, including a chamber for containing a solid phase and a cartridge containing a phial of a liquid phase, said chamber and said cartridge being able to communicate through respective channels, wherein said cartridge includes an external casing made in a deformable material and said phial is of the breakable type.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide an apparatus and methods for providing a nonlabor-intensive process for preventing backfill entering, or environmental factors eroding, a cavity formed in the ground. Preventing cavity degradation involves constructing a chemically-inflatable bag that separates two or more chemical reactants by creases and cylindrical coils formed in the chemically-inflatable bag. The creases typically act as watertight releasable seals that separate the chemical reactants while the cylindrical coils resist unintentional compromise of the releasable seals. However, the cylindrical coils are designed to give way upon the user applying an unfurling action on the chemically-inflatable bag; thus, furnishing a passageway for the chemical reactants to intermix and initiate a chemical reaction. The chemical reaction produces carbon dioxide as a by-product, which expands the chemically-inflatable bag from a collapsed condition to an inflated condition. In the inflated condition, the chemically-inflatable bag fills and protects the integrity of the formed cavity.
Abstract:
A dispensing cap system for dispensing a supplement material through a bottle neck opening and into the bottle. An exemplary embodiment includes a cap member configured for connection to beverage bottle necks of different sizes. A seal member is arranged to provide a liquid seal against the neck opening. A valve member passes through a storage member attached to the cap member, and is configured for movement between a storage position and a dispensing position, in which passage is permitted of the supplement material from the storage member into the bottle. A nipple member may be positioned over the valve member to allow the bottle contents to be utilized or consumed.
Abstract:
A cartridge for use in a multi-compartment system, the cartridge including a housing having an opening at a top end, a sealing wall at a bottom end and wall openings through side walls of the housing; a displaceable sleeve sealingly mounted in the housing, the displaceable sleeve having a sealable filling opening at its top end, and an opening at its bottom end adapted and configured for sealing engagement with the sealing wall; the displaceable sleeve being axially displaceable between two positions along a longitudinal axis through the cartridge, a first position whereby the displaceable sleeve is in sealing engagement with the sealing wall and a seal is formed, and a second position where the sealing wall and the displaceable sleeve are disengaged, providing flow communication through the wall openings.
Abstract:
A system for facilitating a user's intake of edible substances. The system may include a first portion, a second portion, and a partition unit disposed between the first portion and the second portion. A first space may be located between the first portion and the partition unit for containing a first edible substance. A second space may be located between the second portion and the partition unit for containing a second edible substance. The system may also include a tube for causing a change at the partition unit to open an opening between the first space and the second space, and for transmitting a portion of an edible mixture to the mouth of the user. The edible mixture may include part of the first edible substance provided from the first space and part of the second edible substance provided from the second space.
Abstract:
A disposable (or recyclable) beverage container includes two or more liquid-tight subsections, each subsection adapted to hold a different beverage. The container can carry liquids to be mixed at a point of consumption, or the contents of each subsection can be consumed separately, at different times.
Abstract:
A container assembly has a first container that operably houses a second container. The first container is configured to hold a first flowable substance, and the second container is configured to hold a second flowable substance. The second container is rupturable, preferably by manipulation through the first container, wherein the second flowable substance can mix with the first flowable substance to form a mixture. The first container is also rupturable to dispense the mixture therefrom.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel container for carrying at least two products to be mixed together for use as a facial mask. The container comprises a base having two cavities formed therein separated by a division wall, an upper platform and a lidding foil that is removably and sealably attached to the upper platform of the base. The base may be formed of a rigid plastic material and so as to be substantially oval in shape with each cavity having a flat bottom surface. The division wall between the two cavities can include a strip pointing at an angle from one of the cavities to the other. The lidding foil can include an overhanging part that is not connect to the upper platform of the base to serve as a pull tab which can be lifted to pull the lidding foil off the upper platform when the mixture of the facial mask is to be dispensed. The base of the container may also include a shearing or piercing area to allow the container to be readily displayed, whether by hanging vertically on a display rack or otherwise.
