    摘要: For performing a noise measurement in a pipe (16) traversed by a fluid such as air, in the pipe is placed a measuring device comprising a pipe section (10) having the same cross-section and in which is formed an elongated slot (18). The slot (18) is covered with a resistive material (24) and capped by a cavity (26). The ends of the cavity form an acute angle of at the most approximately 7.degree. relative to the axis of the pipe section (10). One or more microphones (34) are installed on the cavity (26), facing the slot (18), so that its diaphragm (36) is flush with the inner face of the cavity.

    摘要: The multicomponent transducer of the present invention comprises a housing interior surfaces forming an enclosed cavity and a single inertial mass immersed in a magnetic fluid contained therein. The inertial mass is levitated in the magnetic fluid by means of ferrohydrodynamic forces. The housing cavity and the inertial mass are generally spherical in shape such that the inertial mass is substantially unconstrained with respect to the directions of motion to which it is responsive. The multicomponent transducer also includes a motion sensing system for sensing selected components of motion of the inertial mass and for generating signals representative of the magnitude and periodicity of the relative motion of the inertial mass with respect to the housing along one or more separate axes. The multicomponent transducer of the present invention has amplitude and phase responses similar to those of conventional transducers.

    摘要: An apparatus for detecting blade passing times includes a sensor for producing an input signal each time a blade passes the sensor. A zero crossing detector produces an output signal each time the input signal crosses a reference axis. A phase shifter shifts the phase of the input signal to produce a gating signal coinciding with the expected arrival time of the blade at the sensor. A gating device is responsive to the gating signal for conducting output signals which occur during the expected arrival time of the blade at the sensor.

    摘要: The multicomponent transducer of the present invention comprises a housing having interior surfaces forming an enclosed cavity and a single inertial mass immersed in a magnetic fluid contained therein. The inertial mass is levitated in the magnetic fluid by means of ferrohydrodynamic forces.     摘要: A plurality of proximity sensors are disposed in a turbine flow guide to measure flow guide-to-turbine blade tip distance at various points around the flow guide. The sensor signals are detected and the peak-to-peak voltage of the detected signals provides an indication of the desired distance measurement. The signals are also monitored and if ambient operating conditions causes the signals to exceed predetermined positive or negative thresholds, corrective signals are generated so as to bring the detected signal back into an acceptable range. A proximity sensor is also provided to measure axial movement of the rotor to which the blades are attached so that the other sensor signals can be modified as a function of the measured axial position.
