Abstract: Hardware-agnostic accelerator orchestration (HALO) provides a software framework for heterogeneous computing systems. Hardware-agnostic programming with high performance portability is envisioned to be a bedrock for realizing adoption of emerging accelerator technologies in heterogeneous computing systems, such as high-performance computing (HPC) systems, data center computing systems, and edge computing systems. The adoption of emerging accelerators is key to achieving greater scale and performance in heterogeneous computing systems. Accordingly, embodiments described herein provide a flexible hardware-agnostic environment that allows application developers to develop high-performance applications without knowledge of the underlying hardware.

Abstract: This disclosure addresses the single-image compressive sensing (CS) and reconstruction problem. A scalable Laplacian pyramid reconstructive adversarial network (LAPRAN) facilitates high-fidelity, flexible and fast CS image reconstruction. LAPRAN progressively reconstructs an image following the concept of the Laplacian pyramid through multiple stages of reconstructive adversarial networks (RANs). At each pyramid level, CS measurements are fused with a contextual latent vector to generate a high-frequency image residual. Consequently, LAPRAN can produce hierarchies of reconstructed images and each with an incremental resolution and improved quality. The scalable pyramid structure of LAPRAN enables high-fidelity CS reconstruction with a flexible resolution that is adaptive to a wide range of compression ratios (CRs), which is infeasible with existing methods.

The devices presented employ both fluorescent and phosphorescent Pt complexes in order to redistribute the excited states to primarily reside on known stable fluorescent emitters to achieve high device operational stability but maintain the high efficiency characteristic of phosphorescent OLEDs.

One low-voltage microfluidic valve device for regulating the low of fluid includes a nano-textured dendritic metallic filament configured to grow and retract in response to a voltage. The low-voltage microfluidic valve device also includes a microfluidic channel configured to allow fluid flow, wherein the fluid flow is selectively interrupted by the growth of the nano-textured dendritic metallic filament. The low-voltage microfluidic valve device also includes a membrane positioned proximate to the fluid and configured to alter shape in response to the growth of the nano-textured dendritic metallic filament.

Abstract: An embodiment provides a method for treating a body fluid of a patient with Alzheimer's Disease, including: removing the body fluid from a patient; applying a treatment to the body fluid, wherein the treatment comprises an antibody that joins with an Alzheimer's targeted antigen (TA) in the body fluid to form an antibody-TA complex, wherein the antibody comprises a radiofrequency absorption enhancer; removing the antibody-TA complex from the body fluid using a radiofrequency source; and returning the body fluid to the patient. Abstract: Methods and systems for remote sleep monitoring are provided. Such methods and systems provide non-contact sleep monitoring via remote sensing or radar sensors. In this regard, when processing backscattered radar signals from a sleeping subject on a normal mattress, a breathing motion magnification effect is observed from mattress surface displacement due to human respiratory activity. This undesirable motion artifact causes existing approaches for accurate heart-rate estimation to fail. Embodiments of the present disclosure use a novel active motion suppression technique to deal with this problem by intelligently selecting a slow-time series from multiple ranges and examining a corresponding phase difference. This approach facilitates improved sleep monitoring, where one or more subjects can be remotely monitored during an evaluation period (which corresponds to an expected sleep cycle).

Abstract: Cancer patients make antibodies to tumor-derived proteins that are potential biomarkers for early detection. Twenty-eight antigens have been identified as potential biomarkers for the early detection of basal-like breast cancer (Tables 1, 2). Also, a 13-AAb classifier has been developed that differentiate patients with BLBC from healthy controls with 33% sensitivity at 98% specificity (Table 3).
