摘要： A case for a VTR micro cassette which fully protects the cassette against rough usage and prevents the user's fingers from touching the tape during withdrawal of the cassette from the case. The case is particularly adapted for cassettes having a rotatable cover member which is vulnerable to damage from an outside force. A shell of solid flexible material generally conforming to the cassette is provided with an opening in a side surface which corresponds to either of the side walls of the cassette but which cannot be the front surface which is covered by the rotatable cover member or the opposite rear wall. Preferably, the dimensions of the opening are made slightly greater than or equal to the corresponding outer dimensions of the side walls of the cassette while the inner dimensions in central portions and to the rear of the cassette are made slightly smaller than the outer dimensions of the cassette to retain the cassette positively in the case. An elastic retaining member can be provided to further positively retain the cassette in the casing.

摘要： A bobbin doffing and donning method and apparatus are disclosed, wherein a stop is selectively projected into a path, along which an engaging member, mounted on a suitable portion of a power transmission mechanism structurally associating a doffing bar with a piston and cylinder assembly for tilting the doffing bar, is moved by the piston and cylinder assembly, to allow the engaging member to pressure contact with the stop thereby stopping the doffing bar at an intermediately tilted condition under which the doffing bar can operate on bobbins temporarily placed on a refuge support positioned between a succession of spindles and a bobbin conveyor both arranged along the side of a spinning machine.In order to release the doffing bar from the intermediately inclined condition, fluid is supplied into the piston and cylinder assembly so as to temporarily move the engaging member in a direction in which it disengages from the stop and thereafter the stop is moved out of the path of the engaging member.

摘要： Disclosed is an open-end spinning machine and a method of restarting the same. The machine comprises: feed rollers, for supplying fibers to a combing roller so as to comb the fibers; a spinning rotor, for collecting the combed fibers into a yarn and for twisting the yarn, connected to a power source via an endless driving belt; a pair of draw off rollers, for withdrawing the yarn from the spinning rotor, connected to a brake and to a main power source via a clutch; a traverse guide, for traversing the withdrawn yarn along a bobbin supported by a pair of cradle arms, connected to a brake and to the main power source via a clutch; a winding drum, for frictionally driving the bobbin to wind the yarn around the bobbin and form a conical cheese, connected to a brake and to the draw off rollers via gear trains, and; a controlling device, for controlling the brakes and clutches according to a predetermined program, by which, on the occasion of stopping said machine, the traverse guide is stopped at a predetermined position before both the draw off rollers and the winding drum are stopped and, on the occasion of restarting said machine, the traverse of the traverse guide is started toward the smaller diameter portion of the conical cheese, when a pieced joint formed between an end of the yarn and a newly spun yarn reaches a contacting line formed between the pair of draw off rollers. By utilizing this machine and method, the number of yarn breakages occurring during the starting operation is decreased.
