Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform multiple TTI PUSCH transmissions in a wireless communication system as well as code block groups (CBGs) based retransmissions operations. A UE may perform radio resource control (RRC) signaling with a network entity to configure a data structure that may include one or more sets of physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission configurations, where each set of PUSCH transmission configurations span multiple TTIs. The wireless device may be configured to receive, from the network entity, a downlink control information (DCI) message that may include a time domain resource assignment field (TDRA) that may indicate a set of PUSCH transmission configurations included in the data structure. The wireless device may perform PUSCH transmissions spanning multiple TTIs according to the indicated set of PUSCH transmission configurations over an unlicensed band.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to performing detection of burst cellular communication in unlicensed spectrum. A wireless device may establish a cellular link with a cellular base station, which may provide a first cell deployed on an unlicensed frequency channel. The wireless device may receive a transmission from a second cell. The second cell may not be a serving cell of the wireless device. The transmission may be received on at least a portion of the unlicensed frequency channel. The wireless device may decode a channel occupancy time field of the transmission from the second cell. The wireless device may determine a channel occupancy time of the transmission from the second cell based at least in part on the channel occupancy time field.

Power saving for channel state information reference signal reception

Abstract: A base station and mobile device (UE) may coordinate transmission of reference signals and reception of corresponding channel state information (CSI) reports. If a periodic reference signal is scheduled for transmission outside the on-duration period of the UE, even if the reference signal corresponds to a periodic CSI report scheduled to be transmitted by the UE during the on-duration period, the base station may not transmit the periodic reference signal, thereby allowing the UE not to prematurely exit a low-power state. The base station may instead transmit an aperiodic reference signal at a specified point in time later than the scheduled transmission of the periodic reference signal. The UE may receive the aperiodic reference signal and either transmit the periodic CSI report or an aperiodic CSI report in response, depending on how close to the start of the on-duration period the transmission of the periodic CSI report is scheduled.

Control Data for Code Block Group-Based Retransmission

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to control data for retransmissions in wireless communications. In various embodiments, a UE sends acknowledgements (e.g., HARQ acknowledgements) at code block group (CBG) granularity. CBGs may be included in codewords that may be transmitted using multiple MIMO layers. In some embodiments, the network is configured to send a new data indicator for each CBG. In some embodiments, the network is configured to use a different number of layers for a retransmission of a CBG than for the original transmission. Thus, the layer-to-CBG or layer-to-codeword mapping may be specified dynamically. In various embodiments, the disclosed techniques may improve overall network bandwidth relative to traditional retransmission techniques.
