摘要: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to prioritize cells that support EN-DC over similar cells not supporting EN-DC. The UE may be configured to perform one or more measurement scans associated with cell selection and/or cell re-selection and may determine whether at least two LTE cells meet a selection criteria based on RSRP and/or SNR measurements. The UE may be configured to, in response to determining that at least two LTE cells meet the selection criteria, prioritize a first LTE cell of the at least two LTE cells over a second LTE cell of the at least two LTE cells based, at least in part, on support EN-DC. The first LTE cell may indicate support of EN-DC, e.g., via a ULI IE included in a SIB2 broadcast by the first LTE cell. The UE may be configured to select the first LTE cell for camping.

The UE is configured to communicate over each of LTE and 5G NR and may be configured to communicate through 5G NR over each of a Sub-6 GHz and a millimeter Wave (mmW) frequency band. The UE is configured to establish an ENDC connection with an enB and one or more gNBs. The UE implements intelligent transmission modification and cell measurement adjustments to mitigate overheating and reduce battery drain.

摘要: In an example method, a user equipment (UE) of a wireless network determines data for transmission between the UE and a base station (BS) of the wireless network; determines a context of the transmission of the data between the UE and the BS; selects, based on the context, one or more antenna elements of an antenna array of the UE; and forms one or more wireless beams using the one or more selected antenna elements. Further, the UE (i) transmits at least a first portion of the data to the BS using the one or more wireless beams, and/or (ii) receives at least a second portion of the data from the BS using the one or more wireless beams.

摘要: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer programs for reference signal measurement reporting by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communications system. In one aspect, the method can include actions of measuring a reference signal received power (RSRP) value for each of a plurality of synchronization signal block (SSB) beams from a base station, determining that a greatest RSRP value of the measured RSRP values is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold, responsive to the determination, calculating, based at least in part on the measured RSRP values and a horizontal/vertical (H/V) polarization imbalance for each of the plurality of SSB beams, a ranking of the plurality of SSB beams, and reporting at least one of the ranked plurality of SSB beams to the base station.
