    摘要: A high-frequency integrated circuit which operates in a microwave band or in a millimeter wave band. The high-frequency integrated circuit has a plurality of devices with respective nonradiative dielectric waveguides such as an oscillator, a coupler, etc., and a substrate on which these devices are surface-mounted. Each of the devices has a pair of parallel conductors, a dielectric strip which is disposed between the conductors and propagates a high-frequency electromagnetic wave, a mounting surface which is formed on one of the conductors and is in contact with the substrate, and an end surface which is defined by an end of the conductors so as to be vertical to a traveling direction of the electromagnetic wave propagated in the dielectric strip and at which an end of the dielectric strip is exposed. The devices with a nonradiative dielectric waveguide are evaluated separately, and thereafter, the devices are surface-mounted on the substrate close to or in contact with one another.

    摘要: A self-halt device for water-jet, power-driven water craft is disclosed, which includes a duct connected at a forward end thereof to the atmosphere and, at its opposite end, to a water passage defined in the rear bottom of the water craft in which a propeller is connected to an engine through a propeller shaft. A valve is installed in the duct, which closes or opens the duct in response to sensing the weight of a driver properly sitting in or standing on a driver seat mounted on top of the water craft deck. With the valve in its operating position where the duct is closed, the engine rotates the propeller in the water passage filled with water which is discharged in a jet from the stern. When the pressure is removed from the driver seat, as when the driver was inadvertently displaced from board, the valve is actuated to open the duct permitting atmospheric air into the water passage, so that engine rotates the propeller on air. Thus, the water craft is brought to a halt, without stopping the engine, within easy reach of the displaced user who can swim over and recapture the water craft.

    摘要: A small watercraft having a float on either side of its hull pivotally connected thereto for rotation about a shaft mounted parallel to the direction of movement of the watercraft between a horizontal operative position and a vertical inoperative position taken when the watercraft is stowed away. The floats can be locked in these two positions and in any position as desired between these two positions. Each float is substantially triangular in planar configuration and diverges in going toward the stern of the watercraft. When the watercraft is stationary on the water, the forward end of each float is exposed from the surface of the water; and when the watercraft is planing, each float is exposed in its entirety on the surface of the water.
