Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods of making up and/or enhancing the appearance of a keratinous substrate comprising (1) forming a film on the keratinous substrate by applying to said keratinous substrate (a) a first cosmetic composition comprising at least one polyvinyl alcohol-styrylpyridinium polymer and (b) a second cosmetic composition comprising at least one complexing agent, and (2) exposing the film to radiation chosen from UV and visible light radiation.
Abstract:
The subject matter of the present invention is a sterile liquid composition dedicated to administration into or through the skin and/or the lips, wherein said composition comprises, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one photo-crosslinkable compound, wherein said compound comprises at least one activated photo-dimerizable group having at least one activated double bond and selected from photo-dimerizable groups carrying a stilbazolium function of formula (Ia) or (Ib) and wherein the photo-dimerizable groups carry a styrylazolium function of formula (II), the photo-dimerizable group(s) being carried by a partially or totally hydrolysed poly(vinyl acetate) polymer, a polysaccharide or a polyvinyl alcohol
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to sunscreen compositions having a synergistic combination of ultraviolet light (UV) filtering agents that provide a high sun protection factor (SPF). Compositions according to the disclosure have high SPF values without requiring high overall amounts of UV filtering agents. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to methods of using the described compositions for protecting keratinous substances such as skin and hair from UV radiation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for smoothing out the skin by filling in recessed portions of the skin, said method comprising filling the recessed portions by means of a filling-in product which has an elastic modulus of greater than 20 000 Pascals at 25° C. for a stress frequency of 1 Hertz, a flow point of greater than 500 Pascals, and, for applied stresses of less than the yield stress, a viscosity of greater than 100000 Pa.s, the product being such that, once applied in said recessed portions of the skin, its mechanical properties change subsequent to a reaction other than an evaporation reaction or a laser polymerization re action.
Abstract:
Aqueous suspensions of silicate shell microcapsules are disclosed wherein a first portion of the silicate shell micro-capsules contain an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups and a hydrosilylation catalyst as Part A of a curable siloxane composition, and a second portion of the silicate shell microcapsules contain an organohydrogensiloxane as Part B of the curable siloxane composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the cosmetic treatment of a keratin material comprising at least the steps of: (a) having available a lyophilizate containing at least one live or inactivated, physiologically acceptable microorganism, one of its metabolites or one of its fractions and at least one surfactant with an HLB greater than or equal to 12, (b) having available a physiologically acceptable medium, separate from the said lyophilizate, (c) bringing the said lyophilizate extemporaneously into contact with the said medium under conditions favourable for the solubilization and/or dispersion of the said lyophilizate in the said medium, and (d) bringing the mixture obtained in the preceding step into contact with the said keratin material. It further relates to a lyophilizate as defined above.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic treatment method comprising: a) depositing a composition on keratinous materials or on an artificial surface having relief that is based on that of keratinous materials, the composition being polymerizable under the action of a light stimulus; b) directing a light beam from a laser onto the composition, to cause biphotonic polymerization thereof.
Abstract:
Composition containing a combination of at least one monosaccharide chosen from mannose, rhamnose and a mixture thereof, and of at least one additional compound chosen from ascorbic acid, an analogue thereof and a mixture thereof. The present invention also relates to the use of such a composition for combating the signs of ageing, and also to a device containing the composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition, containing, in a physiologically acceptable medium, a combination of at least one monosaccharide chosen from mannose, rhamnose and a mixture thereof, and of at least one additional compound chosen from adenosine, an analogue thereof and a mixture thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition, containing, in a physiologically acceptable medium, a combination of at least one monosaccharide chosen from mannose, rhamnose and a mixture thereof, and of at least one desquamating agent. The present invention also relates to the use of such a composition, and to a device containing it.
