摘要： In an active matrix type display apparatus according to the present invention, the following measures are provided when stacking, on a substrate, a device layer (light emitting portion) formed by arranging a light emitting portion in a sub-pixel unit and a circuit layer (sub-pixel circuit) formed by arranging a sub-pixel circuit for driving the light emitting portion in the sub-pixel unit: the apparatus has a stripe arrangement as the arrangement of sub-pixel circuits and a delta arrangement as the arrangement of light emitting portions. Therefore, it is possible to improve reliability of the sub-pixel circuits while utilizing the advantages of the delta arrangement of the light emitting portions, and thus realize a high-reliability, high-definition, and high-brightness display apparatus.

摘要： A catalyst carrier high in strength and suitable for use in internal combustion engines is produced by transforming a boehmite into .gamma.-alumina at a high temperature, transforming the .gamma.-alumina into .alpha.-alumina at a high temperature and sintering the .alpha.-alumina, boehmite having been prepared by forming a large number of agglomerates of adequate size from powdered aluminum hydroxide (Al.sub.2 O.sub.3.3H.sub.2 O) and contacting the agglomerates with water vapor at a high temperature and a high pressure to transform the aluminum hydroxide into boehmite.

A video signal reference potential is supplied to the signal lines for a period during which a scanning signal is supplied to the scanning lines during driving of pixels in a preceding row. During threshold correction for the drive transistor in a current pixel, the video signal reference potential and a potential of the cathode electrode of the organic electroluminescent element are equal.

The signal-line driving circuit and the scan-line driving circuit drive each of the pixel circuits so as to put the light emitting device employed in the pixel circuit in a no-light emission state of emitting no light in a no-light emission period and a light emission state of emitting light in a light emission period repeatedly.
