    Abstract: There is provided a first apparatus for a first terminal, wherein the first terminal has a unicast link established with a second terminal. The first apparatus includes at least one processor, and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the first apparatus at least to: receive, from the second terminal, assistance information for a preferred discontinuous reception, DRX, configuration for the second terminal; determine a DRX configuration for the second terminal using: the received assistance information, and other information acquired by the first terminal related to DRX operations of terminals other than the second terminal; and provide, to the second terminal, the determined DRX configuration for the second terminal to be applied on the unicast link between the first and second terminals.

    Abstract: A transmitting user equipment comprising: means for generating assistance information for a network node. The network node provides a grant of resources for sidelink communications between the transmitting and at least one receiving user equipment. The receiving user equipment is configured to operate in a discontinuous reception mode comprising a discontinuous reception cycle with an active time and an inactive time. The assistance information comprises a plurality of elements indicative of characteristics of the sidelink communications and at least one of the plurality of elements comprises an indication of the discontinuous reception mode of the receiving user equipment.

    Abstract: There are provided measures for enabling/realizing flexible and adaptive QoS monitoring for unicast/groupcast over sidelink communication, which may preferably be capable of enhancing support of unicast/groupcast services over sidelink communication. Such measures exemplarily comprise obtaining a request for QoS monitoring for unicast/groupcast over sidelink communication with a specified quality-of-service profile, which indicates at least one target QoS metric to be monitored, determining a QoS monitoring procedure, wherein a scheme for enforcing QoS monitoring over sidelink communication in collaboration with at least one unicast/groupcast receiving-side device is decided, and performing the QoS monitoring procedure, wherein QoS monitoring messages are exchanged with the at least one unicast/groupcast receiving-side device over the sidelink communication with the specified QoS profile in accordance with the decided scheme and the at least one target quality-of-service metric is derived based thereon.
