摘要： The present technique relates to a receiving device that can promptly present receivable one-segment broadcasts, a receiving method, and a program.Station information acquiring units (111 through 113) acquire area broadcast information about stations that transmit broadcast waves of arbitrary one-segment broadcasting through arbitrary segments. Using the area broadcast information, a station selecting unit (117) selects stations of one-segment broadcasts receivable at a predetermined location as selectable stations that can be selected by tuning. A tuning control unit (118) performs tuning control to select a one-segment broadcast of a selectable station. The present invention can be applied to mobile one-segment broadcast receiving terminals, for example.

The meta information includes information indicating whether the entirety of the content is 3D or a part thereof is 3D, information indicating whether this starts with 2D or 3D when a part thereof is 3D, and identification information of a 3D transmission method when the content is 3D. The control signal includes a signal for identifying 2D and 3D, that is, switching information regarding switching timing between 2D and 3D. An encoding unit 154 encodes the content stored in a content storage unit 151, the meta information generated by a meta information generating unit 152, and the control signal generated by a control signal generating unit 153 in a predetermined encoding system. The meta information is inserted into a meta file or an MP4 container, for example, to be transmitted.

摘要： Apparatus for intermittently or partially scrambling a digital video signal which encodes a digital video signal and successively supplies frames of video data corresponding to the encoded digital video signal. Each frame of video data has a respective frame number and respective blocks of video data, and each block of video data has a respective block number. Frame-scramble-off data is added to each frame which has a frame number equal to one of a plurality of predetermined frame numbers, and block-scramble-off data is added to each block which has a block number equal to one of a plurality of predetermined block numbers. A frame of video data is scrambled in the intermittent scrambling mode if it does not have the frame-scramble-off data and each block of video data is scrambled in the partial scramble mode if it does not have the block-scramble-off data. The scrambled frames or blocks of video data and the frames or blocks which are not scrambled are supplied as the scrambled digital video signal. The scrambled digital video signal is descrambled by receiving frames of video data of the scrambled signal, where each frame has either frame scramble-on data or frame scramble-off data, and respective blocks of video data, where each block has either block scramble-on data or block scramble-off data. Each block which has the block scramble-on data of those frames which have the frame scramble-on data are then descrambled to provide a descrambled digital video signal.
