    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile station may receive, from a base station, an indication of a relaxed physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback timeline associated with a dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) deployment in which a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT share a same frequency band. The mobile station may receive, from the base station, a PDSCH associated with the first RAT. The mobile station may transmit, to the base station, PDSCH HARQ-ACK feedback for the PDSCH associated with the first RAT based at least in part on the relaxed PDSCH HARQ-ACK feedback timeline associated with the DSS deployment. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine, based at least in part on two or more measurements on a channel taken at different points in time, that the channel is classified as static. The wireless communication device may perform at least one optimization based at least in part on determining that the channel is classified as static. For example, the at least one optimization may include modifying a channel state feedback procedure, reducing a periodicity associated with a measurement gap, modifying a filtering associated with measurements of the channel, reducing a threshold associated with beam switching, and/or refraining from performing at least one filtering at a radio frequency receiver of the wireless communication device.     Abstract: A new radio (NR) bit prioritization procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed, resulting in transmission and reception of modulation symbols having prioritized bits. For example, a transmitter may encode a code block using low-density parity-check code to generate a stream of encoded bits. The transmitter may arrange the encoded bits in one or more modulation symbols according to a relative priority of the encoded bits. The highest priority bits may be located in the most significant bits of the modulation symbol, and therefore be less likely to experience errors. A receiver may receive the modulation symbols and reorder the encoded bits according to the coding scheme based on the relative priority prior to decoding the encoded bits. The prioritization of the bits within the modulation symbols may provide improved block error rates over sequential mapping of encoded bits to symbols.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) determining a wideband channel quality indicator (CQI) in a wireless communication network. For each of a plurality of CQI hypotheses, a UE divides a bandwidth into a plurality of frequency segments and determines an average spectral efficiency (SPEF) for each of those segments. Further, for each of the plurality of CQI hypotheses, the UE determines the minimum of the average SPEFs. The UE selects the CQI hypothesis corresponding to the maximum from among these determined minimum average SPEFs, and transmits this selected CQI as a wideband CQI. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
