Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for identifying an initial rank, modulating information into a first plurality of layers associated with the initial rank, scrambling the first plurality of layers by a first common scrambler to generate a first plurality of scrambled layers, transmitting, to the receiver, the first plurality of scrambled layers, receiving an indication of failed demodulation of a portion of the first plurality of scrambled layers, modulating at least a portion of the information into a second plurality of layers, wherein the second plurality of layers includes a same number of layers as the first plurality of layers, scrambling the second plurality of layers by a second common scrambler to generate a second plurality of scrambled layers, and transmitting, to the receiver, the second plurality of scrambled layers.

Abstract: Example aspects include a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for scheduling transmissions of transport blocks (TBs) at a base station of a wireless communication network, comprising accessing static transmission information indicating configuration information of TB transmissions. The aspects further include transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), first downlink control information (DCI) corresponding to a first transmission. Additionally, the aspects include transmitting, to the UE according to the static transmission information and the first DCI, the first transmission comprising at least a portion of encoded bits of the TB. Additionally, the aspects include receiving, from the UE, an indication of at least one code block that failed to be successfully decoded. Additionally, the aspects include transmitting, to the UE, second DCI corresponding to a second transmission. Additionally, the aspects include retransmitting, to the UE according to the static transmission information, the first DCI, and the second DCI.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). The UE implements the technique to detect that a decoding failure of a first multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission, sent by a network entity on a first number of layers, is caused by a rank mismatch. The UE then sends a rank correction request to a network entity. The UE then combines samples from the first MIMO transmission and a second MIMO transmission, sent by the network entity using a space-time code (STC) with a second number of layers in response to the rank correction request, to recover data lost due to the decoding failure.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of recommended base station transmit beams for full duplex operation based at least in part on measurements of a set of base station transmit beams and measurements of self-interference associated with the set of base station transmit beams. The UE may transmit a report that indicates a recommendation to use one or more of the set of recommended base station transmit beams for full duplex operation. Numerous other aspects are described.
