    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a loss of coherence associated with the UE. The UE may perform at least one adjustment to a transmission parameter or a reception parameter based at least in part on the indication of the loss of coherence. For example, the adjustment to the transmission parameter may include adjusting a transmit power, adjusting a transmit frequency, adapting a transmission time, changing an antenna port, or a combination thereof. Additionally, or alternatively, the adjustment to the reception parameter may include refraining from joint channel estimation across a plurality of slots, adjusting a downscaling parameter or a frequency tuning associated with at least one reception antenna, refraining from blind decoding, or a combination thereof. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for neighbor cell measurements for narrowband communications. An example method generally includes detecting a trigger to take neighbor cell measurements while a user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state with a serving cell, based at least in part on a threshold applied to a channel condition metric measured for the serving cell and one or more additional conditions. The method also includes taking neighbor cell measurements in response to detecting the trigger.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may enable selection of a modulation order (Qm) parameter, a transport block size (TBS) parameter, a quantity of subframes in a transport block (NSF) parameter, and/or the like. For example, based at least in part on receiving a downlink control information or another factor, a user equipment may select, for example, a table of Qm, TBS, and NSF values and may select a particular set of a Qm value, a TBS value, and an NSF value from the table. In this way, the UE may use a higher order modulation and coding scheme in, for example, a narrowband Internet of Things deployment.
