    Abstract: A wake-up signal being for providing an indication to one or more of the communications devices (UEs) that they should receive a paging message in one or more of a plurality of paging occasions, and transmitting a candidate indicator message to the one or more UEs in an unused portion of radio resources of the wireless access interface that is allocated for signals other than the candidate indicator message, the candidate indicator message indicating one or more characteristics of the wake-up signal by which the wake-up signal may be transmitted as one or more candidates, wherein the one or more candidates are to be searched for detection of the wake-up signal by the one or more UEs.

    Abstract: A method of operating an infrastructure equipment configured for communicating with one or more communications devices via a wireless access interface. The wireless access interface comprises resource elements for carrying sub-carriers of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) symbols. Forming a downlink signal comprises selecting a plurality of component-signals from a set of component-signals, each of the component-signals from the set of component-signals being formed from a sequence of signal samples for transmission in one of the blocks of resource elements and in one of the time units by the number of OFDM symbols, each of the component-signals being detectable by a narrow bandwidth receiver, and selecting for each of the plurality of component-signals one or more of the plurality of the blocks of resource elements and one or more of the time units to transmit the component-signal.

    Abstract: In a wireless communications system, an infrastructure equipment is configured to form a synchronization signal block comprising one or more Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed, OFDM, symbol carrying a synchronization sequence and one or more other OFDM symbols carrying information of a physical broadcast channel of the wireless access interface.
