摘要： An apparatus (20) for providing facilitation of mobile gateway operation may include at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured, with the processor, to cause the apparatus to perform at least causing provision of configuration instructions (210) to one or more machines (42) where the configuration instructions define at least a discontinuous reception period and beaconing instructions for the one or more machines relative to machine communications utilizing network defined resources, and causing provision of connection information (220) to a mobile terminal (10) to identify connection parameters that correspond to the configuration instructions provided to the one or more machines where the connection information enables establishment of communication between the mobile terminal and the one or more machines. A corresponding method is also provided.

摘要： Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for D2D handovers. The method may include sending to a target base station a handover request message including a proposed common identifier for a device-to-device pair and a proposed allocation of radio resources for the device-to-device pair; receiving, from the target base station in response to the handover request message, a handover request reply message including a confirmation of the proposed allocation and of the proposed common identifier; sending to a first device of the device-to-device pair a handover command including the proposed allocation and the proposed common identifier; receiving, from a second device of the device-to-device pair, a measurement report representative of the target base station; and determining whether to initiate a handover of the second device to the target base station, wherein when the handover is initiated, the first device of the device-to-device pair and the second device of the device-to-device pair are handed over to the target base station. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

摘要： There is stored a database of registration information associating UEs with cells under control of different network operators. In response to a inquiry from a first network operator that a first UE desires direct communications with a second UE, the registration information is used to coordinate between the first network operator and the second network operator to facilitate establishment of a direct communication link between the first UE and the second UE. In various embodiments the facilitating is enhancing the inquiry/page by adding a cell ID of the first UE's cell and adding pre-allocated radio resources in the first UE's cell for use by the second UE in responding to the page, and determining a single network which is not highly loaded and which can allocate resources for the D2D communications and directing one or both UEs to that single network.

摘要： Various methods for device-to-device key management are provided. One example method includes receiving a communication mode change command requesting a mode change to device-to-device communications, and generating a local device security key based on a secret key and a base value. The local device security key may be configured for use in device-to-device communications. The example method may also include receiving a security key combination value, and deconstructing the security key combination value using the local device security key to determine a peer device security key. The peer device security key may be configured for use in device-to-device communications. Similar and related example methods and example apparatuses are also provided.

Transmitting on the first carrier is performed in accordance with the maximum assigned transmission power (630). Apparatuses and computer readable media are also described.

摘要： An approach is provided for scheduling resources for device-to-device communications. A resource of a network is granted to a group designated for device-to-device communications. The group then determines how the resource allocation is utilized to support the communication session and allocates the resource among the user equipment within the group independently of the base station. Further, a user equipment pair in the group determines transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) timeslot configuration to allow TDD mode operations, and further configure the modulation and coding for the device-to-device connection, and error control scheme for the pair via control signaling independently from the group.

摘要： Systems and methods for providing an efficient mechanism for transmitting information needed to receive a secondary carrier over an existing message protocol on a primary carrier for a multiple carrier capable communications terminal. The receiver terminal may receive, on a primary carrier, a message containing information including a timing offset and a cell identification for a secondary carrier, for example. The communications terminal may then correlate a receiver to receive the secondary carrier without the need for a separate synchronization signal on the secondary carrier. These embodiments result in additional efficiency in a communications system.
