摘要： Optical transmission systems in which interactive services, such as video-on-demand, are to be provided must be low in cost if the services are to find acceptance. This requires, among other things, that as little change to the structure of existing optical transmission systems as possible should be necessary. In the optical transmission system according to the invention, a first frequency-division multiplex signal (S.sub.T) is formed from subscriber-assigned video and telecommunications signals at a center (1). Cable television signals (S.sub.TV) are transmitted with light of a first wavelength, and the first frequency-division multiplex signal (S.sub.T) with light of a second wavelength, to at least one optical network termination (3). In the latter, the cable television signals (S.sub.TV) and the video signals are combined into a third frequency-division multiplex signal. The third frequency-division multiplex signal and the telecommunications signals are combined into a second frequency-division multiplex signal (S.sub.S), which is delivered at a port (22) of the optical network termination (3).

摘要： A multicylinder internal combustion engine having separate cylinder groups, each of which is associated with a fuel-air mixture supply means for selectively supplying a fuel-air mixture or only air thereto, and a process for supplying of a fuel-air mixture thereto. In accordance with all embodiments, air only is supplied to the second cylinder group when the engine is operating in a warmed-up condition, under partial load operating conditions, a fuel-air mixture being supplied to both cylinder groups, regardless of engine temperature conditions, once the partial load range has been exceeded. A fuel-air mixture is supplied to the first cylinder group in accordance with all embodiments, regardless of engine temperature or load conditions. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the engine, a single cam disk is utilized to control the air supply through the air intakes for both cylinder groups in cooperation with a vacuum cell, and a temperature controlled venting device for the vacuum cell. In accordance with the process embodiments, the fuel-air supply to the second cylinder group during warm-up is either progressively increased and then decreased to an amount approximating zero, or is held constant throughout the predetermined load range; while, with the engine warmed-up for operation, the supply of air only to the second cylinder group, in the partial load range, is either progressively increased, held constant, and then decreased to an amount approximating zero, or is increased, held constant to the end of the partial load range and then abruptly decreased to the amount approximating zero.

The novel active substances serve to combat pathogenic microorganisms in the field of veterinary medicine. They are effective in the case of diseases of the respiratory tract in poultry, and infections of the intestinal tract and of the urogenital system in domestic animals and productive livestock. They are in addition suitable as a feed additive for promoting the growth of animals. Depending on the type of application, the novel active substances may be administered perorally or via the abomasum or directly by injection, the active substances being applied on their own or in combination with customary inert carriers, either in the solid form or in the liquid form.

摘要： Gear belt tensioning apparatus is provided for controlling the tension in a gear belt for driving an internal combustion engine camshaft or the like. This apparatus includes a tension roller which engages directly with the gear belt and which is controlled by a temperature responsive control element. In order to accommodate for changes in temperature of the internal combustion engine, the control element is composed of a plurality of stacked bimetal dish-shaped spring members arranged in a cylindrical recess of an abutment fixed to the engine housing. These spring members are arranged in packets of four members each, which packets are then arranged so as to have the spring members of one packet facing in the opposite direction of the next adjacent packet of spring members.
