    摘要: A digital predistortion apparatus is provided for predistorting a nonlinear characteristic caused by a wideband power amplifier that amplifies a input signal. The digital predistortion apparatus includes a predistorter, connected to the power amplifier via a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and a frequency up-converter, for receiving the input signal and compensating for the nonlinear characteristic using a look-up table that depends upon a change in output power of the power amplifier. The digital predistortion apparatus further includes look-up table (LUT) updating block for adaptively updating the look-up table by comparing a feedback signal output from the power amplifier, connected thereto via an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), with the input signal output from the predistorter.

The method includes dividing a downlink period into a plurality of regions according to a burst property, calculating a residual symbol axis size and a residual subchannel axis size of a first region conforming to two-dimensional allocation among the plurality of regions, allocating bursts to be allocated to the first region in a descending order, wherein the bursts are respectively allocated in a rectangular shape having a length corresponding to the number of residual symbols along a time axis or in a rectangular shape having a length corresponding to the number of residual subchannels along a frequency axis, and allocating bursts to be allocated to at least one region conforming to one-dimensional allocation among the plurality of regions to the at least one region conforming to one-dimensional allocation according to a scheduling priority.

The BS can determine an offset mean value of the MS using a previously estimated offset of the MS if UpLink (UL) data received from the MS does not exist. The BS determines whether to transmit an unsolicited ranging response message (Unsolicited RNG-RSP) using the offset mean value of the MS. If transmitting the Unsolicited RNG-RSP, the BS transmits the MS the Unsolicited RNG-RSP including an offset adjustment value for the MS.

    摘要: An apparatus and method reduce power consumption in a broadband wireless communication system. A transmitting end apparatus that includes a plurality of transmit (Tx) antennas includes a control block, a Processor (DSP) block, a modem block, and at least one power controller. The control block determines a traffic amount based on an amount of used resources. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) block performs scheduling by using a subset of Tx antennas and a subset of resources on a frequency axis if the traffic amount is less than a threshold. The modem block applies boosting to a signal transmitted using the subset of resources. And at least one controller turns off an operation of at least one power amplifier that corresponds to at least one Tx antenna that is not included in the subset of Tx antennas.

In the method, a downlink channel measurement value received from a terminal is compared with a threshold. When the downlink channel measurement value is smaller than the threshold, an activation set for a handover of the terminal is determined. When the number of base stations inside the activation set is two or more, a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) level is allocated to the terminal with consideration of the downlink channel measurement value. A wireless resource is allocated to the terminal with consideration of the allocated MCS level and a headroom of the terminal.

    摘要: A base station includes a center frequency setting unit, a local oscillator, a baseband processor, and an RF processor. In the event of a frequency band change, the center frequency setting unit sets a center frequency of a use frequency channel to have a predetermined offset value with respect to a center frequency before the frequency band change. The local oscillator generates an LO frequency signal according to the center frequency set by the center frequency setting unit. The baseband processor generates a downlink baseband signal. The RF processor uses the LO frequency signal to convert the downlink baseband signal into an RF signal prior to transmission.
