    摘要： The present invention provides a composition that is suitable for lowering the alkalinity of a textile. The composition is also suitable for cleansing or treating a hard surface or a porous surface. The composition exhibits stability as a solution or as a dispersion at a temperature of about 0° C. to about 8° C. The composition includes a carrier, an acid, and a quaternary phosphonium compound, or a suitable salt or solvate thereof. The present invention also provides a method for cleansing or treating a surface. The method includes contacting the surface with an effective amount of a composition of the present invention to provide a treated or cleansed surface having a pH below about 7.5. The present invention also provides a method for preparing a composition of the present invention. The method includes combining the carrier, the acid, and the quaternary phosphonium compound, or a suitable salt or solvate thereof, in any order, to provide the composition.

    摘要： The present invention relates to liquid acidic compositions suitable for removing limescale-containing stains from a hard-surface, comprising an acid, from 0.001% to 20% by weight of the total composition of a polysaccharide polymer and from 0.001% to 20% by weight of the total composition of a vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer or copolymer, said composition being packaged in a spray type-dispenser. Such a composition provides improved shine to the surface treated while exhibiting effective limescale removal performance. The use of a polysaccharide polymer and a vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer or copolymer, in a liquid acidic composition being packaged in a spray-type dispenser, to treat a hard-surface, reduces or even prevents the formation of watermarks and even limescale deposits on said hard-surface after said hard-surface has first been treated with said composition and subsequently comes in contact with water. Also the use of a polysaccharide polymer and a vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer or copolymer, in a liquid acidic composition being packaged in a spray-type dispenser, to treat a hard-surface delivers shine/long lasting shine to the surface.

    摘要： Disclosed is a alkaline liquid hard-surface cleaning and disinfecting composition. The composition comprises from about 0.001% to about 5% by weight of a C4-C7 dicarboxylate or hydroxydicarboxylate, from about 0.005% to about 5% by weight of a quaternary ammonium disinfectant, from about 0.001% to about 15% by weight of a detergent surfactant, a pH of from about 7.5 to about 13, from about 15% to 98% by weight of water, and from 0 to about 60% by weight of an organic solvent having a hydrogen bonding parameter of less than about 7.7. The composition can be used to provide streak-free cleaning and disinfecting of hard surfaces. Moreover, in the presence of the selected dicarboxylates, the quaternary ammonium disinfectant retains its disinfectancy properties and does not precipitate out of solution. The composition can be prepared as a dry formulation.
