摘要: A tear webbing includes two woven straps each having a first length portion and an adjoining second length portion. The woven straps are, along the first length portion, in a parallel, superposed orientation and in a face-to-face engagement with one another and a binding yarn connects the woven straps to one another along the first length portion. The woven straps which are separate from one another along the second length portion are adapted to be exposed, in the second length portion, to pulling forces causing a progressive separation of the woven straps along the first length portion under an irreversible energy absorption. The tear webbing further includes an elastic coating matrix in which the woven straps are at least partially embedded along the first length portion.

摘要: Greenhouse screen for use as a filter for short-day treatment of plants and made of a film, textile, non-woven material or a combination thereof with high light resitance and good weathering conditions. The greenhouse screen at least partly consists of a material which in one or more layers has high absorption of light in a significant part of the wavelength interval 575-800 nm and with substantially total absorption in the wavelength interval 600-750 nm and which has high transmittance of light in the wavelength interval 400-575 nm.

摘要: Complex woven material as reinforcement for forming layered resin impregnated articles which are resistant to catastrophic damage from shock or local impact as from a hard object, comprised of woven bands or strips of high modulus fibers such as carbon or graphite fibers, separated in at least one direction of the material, from each other by woven bands or strips of low modulus fibers such as glass fibers, and which in a preferred embodiment are narrower than the strips of high modulus fibers. Superimposed layers of such materials can be formed, wherein the strips of high modulus fibers and low modulus fibers in the respective layers are at different angles. Such woven materials, e.g. in the form of a layered assembly, are impregnated with a suitable thermosetting resin such as an epoxy resin, and cured, to produce a layered resin impregnated article having improved damage tolerant physical and mechanical properties.

摘要: A generally planar fabric having a plurality of solid colored stripes. The fabric comprises a first plurality of warp yarns having a first color, a second plurality of warp yarns having a second color different from said first color, and a plurality of transparent filling yarns. All of the yarns are interwoven according to a desired weave pattern. At the yarn crossover points or junctions of the fabric, the transparent yarns allow the colors of the warp yarns to show through. In a preferred embodiment, a multifilament core yarn encapsulated in a plastisol containing a foaming agent constitutes the warp yarns, and a multifilament transparent core yarn encapsulated in a clear plastisol constitutes the filling yarns.

摘要: A surface covering comprised of a base fabric having an adhesive layer thereon. First and second groups of fabric strips disposed on the adhesive layer in criss-crossed, interwoven relationship to each other. Each strip of each group has a plurality of spaced first segments bonded to the adhesive layer and a second segment between each pair of first segments, respectively, the second segments overlying a first segment of the adjacent strip of the other group. The widths of some of the strips differ from the widths of other strips. The color and patterns of these strips can differ from each other.

摘要: A building structure formed of a plurality of elongated strips of synthetic polymeric material interwoven at right angles to one another. The overlapping strips are adhesively secured together, and tie-down means are provided for engaging with free ends of the strips so as to anchor the structure in place. Alternatively, dual wall air-filled bags may be disposed between the overlapped portions of the strips.
