Abstract: A system for cellular system observability data collection includes systems generating data; an observability (OBF) layer configured to collect the data and store the data for a maximum threshold amount of time; and a long term storage layer. The long term storage layer is in communication with the OBF layer to store the data for a term greater than the maximum threshold amount of time. Use applications requiring data to be not older than the maximum threshold amount of time retrieve data directly from the OBF layer, while other use applications retrieve data from the long term storage layer.

The standby pods running on the other cloud compute instance are generated with anti-affinity between the CU-CP microservices of the primary CNF instance and CU-CP microservices of the standby pod.

Abstract: A system includes domains comprising systems generating data from a cellular network employing clusters created using a containerized application, and an observability (OBF) layer configured to collect the data over all of the domains and store the data at a common source. The system also includes a streaming platform data store configured for ingesting and processing streaming data in real-time and distributing the data to applications requesting such data. The streaming platform extends completely over the OBF layer so that all data collected by the OBF layer is available to the streaming platform data store. The system also includes a processor configured to collect data at the common source and manage the domains directly using the data collected at the common source.

Abstract: IP prefix lists are used as a source for filtering with near real-time updates to prefix lists associated with particular network functions. Network functions are deployed with one or more prefix lists based on communication need, a messaging queue for receiving work to updates for the prefix list, a maintenance worker, and a notification service. When a network function expands or contracts and has a change in IP scope, the listening network functions are alerted. When the event is detected, a message is transmitted by the network function's notification service. Listener queues subscribed to the upstream network function receive the change notification and invoke the maintenance worker to update the prefix list based on the message. The invoked process digests the message and adjusts the prefix list for the listening load balancer accordingly, resulting in adding or removing permitted traffic flow.

In response to receiving information regarding network components or connectivity as system components are implemented (e.g., installed and/or activated), the system may electronically compare the received information to a model previously built according to the current standards of the telecommunication service provider, such as a mobile network operator (MNO) for the wireless telecommunication network, and then electronically determine whether there exists a discrepancy between the received information regarding network components or connectivity and the model based on the comparison. An action may then be performed based on the determination of whether there exists a discrepancy, such as sending an alert or taking other corrective action.
