Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for feeding fabric workpieces one at a time from the top of a stack of like workpieces having a first rough side and a second smooth side, the workpieces being stacked with alternating sides up. A computer controlled picker is used to separate the top workpiece from the remaining workpieces in the stack, and for depositing the workpiece on a downstream conveyor. An ultrasonic face detector is mounted above the first conveyor for determining whether the side of the workpiece facing the face detector--the top surface--is relatively rough or relatively smooth. A pivoting feeder/inverter is provided at the end of the first conveyor. If the workpiece has the desired side up for subsequent sewing operations, the inverter/conveyor is placed in a first position so that the workpiece is directed into a sandwich belt type conveyor which will not change the orientation of the workpiece. If the workpiece has the desired side down, the feeder/inverter is pivoted to a second position to enable the workpiece to enter an inverter conveyor which will rotate the workpiece 180 degrees about an axis along the direction of travel to place the workpiece in the correct orientation for the subsequent sewing operation. Thus, this apparatus takes all of the fabric workpieces from a stack in which the sides facing up alternate, and automatically places all of them in the same orientation prior to arrival at a sewing station.
Abstract:
A structure which is easy to be assemble and can firmly combine a rib with a stretcher of an umbrella is disclosed. The structure comprises a fastening and a link. The fastening has a body defining a passage for receiving a rib of the umbrella and a locating piece integrally extending from an outer periphery of the body. The locating piece defines a slot perpendicular to and in communication with the passage. The link has a block. The block defines a front end and a rear end, a first plate integrally extending outwardly from a bottom of the front end, a second plate integrally extending outwardly and upwardly from a top face thereof at the front end, and a pipe integrally extending from the rear end thereof for receiving a stretcher of the umbrella. The block further defines two concave side walls extending between the front end and the rear end thereof to conform with the outer periphery of the body. The first plate has a boss which extends from a surface thereof and is allowed to extend through the slot of the locating piece. The boss further has a head on a top thereof with a diameter slightly larger than the boss. The second plate defines a hole therein to snappingly receive the head of the boss.
Abstract:
A fuel gas press control device of a gas torch, including a switch mounted on the shell of the gas torch and moved between a circular hole and a sliding slot, a retaining knob mounted in a hole in the switch, a pressure rod fastened to the switch and forced by it to press on the gas lever of a butane well, and a spring mounted around the retaining knob and stopped between a collar of the retaining knob and a horizontal projecting plate of the switch, the spring forcing the collar of the retaining knob into the circular hole of the shell to lock the switch is the operative position when the switch is moved to the circular hole of the shell to force the pressure rod into engagement with the gas lever of the butane well.
Abstract:
A toy airplane generally has a fuselage, a nose assembly, a tail assembly, a hear train connected with a double rubber band forming a transmission mechanism, a propeller, a pair of wing seats on the fuselage, a plurality of wings and an undercarriage under the fuselage thereof. The improvement of this toy airplane is a structure that is more releasable and movable, particularly a displaceable wing structure that provides great flexibility to the operator to make their own adjustments. An undercarriage provides possible protection to the propeller from damage when landing.
Abstract:
An internal combustion glue gun including a glue stick propelling mechanism, a gas release control mechanism, an igniter unit, and a melting unit, and a housing consisting of two symmetrical halves connected together to hold the glue stick propelling mechanism, the gas release control mechanism, the igniter unit, and the melting unit, wherein the housing has a bottom chamber having two pivot pins aligned at a bottom side, a working temperature indicator hole, which receives a temperature detecting chip, which detects the temperature of the melting unit, a gas pressure regulator mounting hole, which receives a gas pressure regulator, a substantially L-shaped switch hole, a switch retainer plate mounted on the switch hole, a collapsible support turned about the pivot pins on the bottom chamber to hold a disposable gas lighter, permitting the disposable gas lighter to be controlled by the switch retainer plate to release gas, and a back opening through which the gas lighter holder can be moved in and out of the bottom chamber.
Abstract:
A horizontal type of packing machine with an adjustable pouch former, in which a guide screw having half left-handed threads and half right-handed threads is used for adjusting the width of the pouch former; a cylindrical gear is in mesh with two gears to drive a left and a right gear racks and to simultaneously adjust the height of two guide plates on both sides of the machine in order to adjust the height of the pouch former. According to the design of replaceable paper-guiding plates, a user can select the proper paper-guiding plates in accordance with the products and the packing paper for the purpose of increasing the function of the pouch former; the metal plate parts are used for forming a near quadric chain assembly by means of a rotary connector so as to have such parts moved and adjusted upon the adjustment of the pouch width.
Abstract:
An improved blind stitch sewing machine includes a machine table, a main housing fixed on the machine table, a head housing located at one side of the main housing, a needle mechanism unit coupled with the head housing, a driving unit coupled with the machine table and adapted to drive the needle mechanism unit, and a fabric pushing member coupled with the driving unit. The driving unit includes a main shaft, an auxiliary shaft, a first transmission assembly and a second transmission assembly. The main shaft is journalled on the main housing and is drivable to effect a unidirectional rotation. The first transmission assembly interconnects the main shaft and the auxiliary shaft so as to convert the uni-directional rotation of the main shaft into reciprocal rotation of the auxiliary shaft. The second transmission assembly interconnects the auxiliary shaft and the fabric pushing member so as to convert the reciprocal rotation of the auxiliary shaft into reciprocal vertical movement of the fabric pushing member.
