Disclosed is a water level sensing apparatus of a dish washer comprising, a wash tub for containing dishware and a water level sensor disposed in the wash tub and moved in its position according to a water level in the wash tub, alternately comprising, a wash tub for containing dishware a float disposed in the wash tub and ascending/descending according to a water level of the wash tub and a sensing unit sensing a water level corresponding to a position of the float.According to the water level sensing apparatus of the dish washer, it is capable of minimizing influence on a capacity of the wash tub caused by installation of the water level sensor, of precisely sensing the amount of water in the wash tub and of implement the float stably ascending/descending.

Provided is a multi-ring network operating method of cross-connecting at least two ring networks, the method including connecting an input working ring and an input protection ring of a ring network to an output working ring and an output protection ring of another ring network and then performing cross-connection between the same or different ring networks by using a multi-dimensional cross-connect apparatus. In the multi-ring operating method, a plurality of ring networks can be connected regardless of the protection method used by the ring networks, and the original protection method of each ring network can remain after they are connected.

A video signal processing apparatus and method and a display apparatus are provided. The video signal processing apparatus includes: an input unit through which a video signal is input; a signal processing unit which processes the video signal input through the input unit, wherein signal processing unit encodes the video signal if a transmission distance from the transmitting unit to the display apparatus is greater than a reference distance; and a transmitting unit which transmits the video signal processed by the signal processing unit to a display apparatus using wireless communication.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a method of forming an isolation layer of a flash memory device. An isolation layer is formed using a PSZ-based material and a nitride film of liner form is deposited on a trench before the PSZ film is deposited. An oxide film can be prevented from remaining on a top of the sidewalls of a conductive film for a floating gate through an etch process employing the etch rate. The thickness of a dielectric film can be prevented from increasing when a dielectric film is deposited. Accordingly, the contact area of the floating gate and the dielectric film can be increased and the coupling ratio between the floating gate and the control gate can be improved.

An apparatus for generating a Carrier-Suppressed Return-to-Zero (CS-RZ) signal is disclosed. The apparatus includes a mixer, a Low Pass Filter (LPF), a driver amplifier and a single external modulator. The mixer generates a modulator input by mixing data with a half clock signal. The LPF band-limits the modulator input data into low frequency band data. The driver amplifier amplifies the modulator input data generated by the mixing of the mixer and the band-limiting of the LPF. The external modulator generates CS-RZ signal, in which the phases of adjacent pulses have been inverted, by applying bias voltage to the modulator input data to be placed at the null point of the transfer function of the external modulator.

Provided is an optical network node device. According to the optical network node device, a planar lightwave circuit (PLC) based or a blocker based 4-terminals ROADM can be used in a node of at least degree 3, a proceeding direction of a wavelength channel can be changed in an electrical cross connect switch, and transmission in a unit smaller than a wavelength channel can be cross connected, dropped, and added, or transmission capacity can be redistributed in the electrical cross connect switch. Accordingly, efficient transmission in a small capacity and large capacity transmission of a wavelength channel can be performed simultaneously, and thus an optical network can be effectively managed. Also, since the node of at least degree 3 uses the PLC based or a blocker based reconfigurable optical add drop multiplexer (ROADM), the node of at least degree 3 can use the same ROADM module as a node of degree 2. Accordingly, the optical network node device has an advantage in manufacturing and managing a node.

Disclosed are an apparatus and method for manufacturing a flat display panel. In forming sustain electrodes and address electrodes, to which electricity is supplied to discharge, on front and rear panels, electrode material, which resides in electrode forming grooves formed on the surface of an electrode roll and each having the same shape as that of electrodes, is transferred on a substrate. The electrode roll transfers the electrode material to the substrate while coming into close contact with and rotating on the substrate. The electrode material adhering to the surface of the electrode roll using a cleaner before the electrode roll transfers the electrode material to the substrate.

Provided is a polarization division multiplexed optical transmission system including a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter includes a first light source generating an optical signal having a linear polarization state; a second light source generating an optical signal having a horizontal polarization state; a first signal generator receiving a first data stream to modulate the optical signal output from the first light source using an M method; a second signal generator receiving a second data stream to modulate the optical signal output from the second light source using an N method; and a polarization beam combiner (PBC) multiplexing the optical signals that were modulated using the M and N methods while maintaining the linear and horizontal polarization states.

The present invention discloses an apparatus for suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering and the method thereof that a threshold fiber input power is raised in order to prevent loss of an inputted light by stimulated Brillouin scattering being generated in a case that a signal having a strong intensity is inputted to the optical fiber and so a light signal having more strong intensity can be inputted to the optical fiber. The apparatus for suppressing the SBS includes a plurality of first transmission unit, each of which has a wavelength separation, for transmitting information signals through a signal channel; and a second transmission unit for generating and transmitting a supervisory signal of which a modulation frequency and an intensity generates a phase modulation to the plurality of information signals, through a supervisory channel. The modulation frequency and the intensity of the supervisory signal are modulated in phase to the information signals by a cross phase modulation effect, thereby broadening a line width of the information signal.
