Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a pilot signal in a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) wireless communication system are disclosed. The method sets a power of pilot signal to be transmitted in a pilot pattern according to a predefined ratio of a total power of the pilot signal to a total power of data tones being transmitted together with the pilot signal on a subframe.

A method of transmitting data using a plurality of subcarriers in a multi-antenna wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes receiving feedback information from a mobile station (MS), performing channel encoding and modulation independently on user data to be transmitted by each antenna using the received feedback information, determining a phase shift-based precoding matrix for increasing a phase angle of the user data by a fixed amount, and performing precoding using the determined phase shift-based precoding matrix on the user data.
Abstract:
A method for estimating channel state in a wireless communication system and a mobile station using the same are disclosed. The method includes acquiring cell Identifiers (IDs) of a serving cell and one or more neighbor cells, acquiring information about preset power level patterns for one or more frequency partitions to which FFR is applied according to the cell IDs, and estimating a channel state of the serving cell based on the power level pattern information.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting an information unit of a specific layer above a physical layer through a plurality of frequency allocation bands managed by the specific layer and transmitting control information identifying each of the plurality of frequency allocation bands. The control information includes a second ID into which a first ID has been converted, the first ID identifying each of the plurality of frequency allocation bands in the physical layer, the second ID identifying each of the plurality of frequency allocation bands managed by the specific layer in the specific layer. To accomplish this, a timing offset is applied to the entirety of a frame or to a preamble (synchronous channel) so that the timing offset is used as the ID. Applying a timing offset to the entirety of a frame or to a preamble (synchronous channel) can achieve an advantage of PAPR reduction.
Abstract:
This document is related to a method for receiving signals in multi-user system, the method comprising: receiving signals form 2 or more mobile stations using ‘k’-th radio resource and ‘k+m’-th radio resource; estimating a channel matrix using the received signals; calculating a weight matrix so that the channel matrix have an orthogonality to the signals from each of the mobile stations; transmitting the weight matrix to each of the mobile stations; and receiving signals that the weight matrix is applied by each of the mobile stations. By doing so, we can increase the transmission efficiency through obtaining both orthogonality and diversity gain in the multi-user MIMO system.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting channel quality indicator (CQI) includes obtaining CQI of each, of the plurality of sub-bands, selecting a first sub-band having the best CQI of the plurality of sub- bands, transmitting the best CQI of the first sub-band at a first transmission cycle and transmitting a difference value between the best CQI of the first sub-band and a CQI of the first sub-band at a second transmission cycle. Signalling overhead due to CQI transmission can be reduced.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a Precoding Matrix Index (PMI) in a Coordinated Multi-Point (COMP) communication system are disclosed. The method includes receiving signals in a same frequency band from Base Stations (BSs) included in a CoMP set, which operate in joint processing mode, selecting a first precoding matrix for each of the BSs using the received signals, generating a second precoding matrix by combining the first precoding matrices, and transmitting an index of the second precoding matrix to a serving BS among the BSs.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting and receiving feedback information in a multi-cell based wireless communication system using FFR, a mobile station apparatus therefore and a base station apparatus therefore are disclosed. A mobile station is able to obtain FFR configuration information including configuration information on at least one frequency partition to which a corresponding FFR is applied per cell ID. And, the mobile station is able to transmit PMI information to a serving base station using the obtained FFR configuration information. In this case, the PMI information is specifically restricted or recommended by the mobile station among PMIs (precoding matrix indexes) used by at least one neighbor cell in an allocated specific frequency partition.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting a multiple codeword (MCW) in a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) communication system is disclosed. A method for transmitting a multiple codeword (MCW) in a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) communication system includes performing a channel coding and modulation process for each codeword of the multiple codeword (MCW), multiplying the channel-coded-modulated result by a rotation matrix decided by either a spatial multiplexing rate or a layer (R), and performing a codeword permutation (CP) on the multiple codeword (MCW), performing a MIMO encoding on the multiple codeword (MCW), and transmitting the multiple codeword (MCW) via a multi-antenna.
Abstract:
A data transmission method includes encoding information bits to generate a codeword including a plurality of data symbols, the sum of the plurality of data symbols of the codeword being equal to zero, multiplexing a data symbol and a pilot with a subcarrier and transmitting multiplexed data symbol and pilot through the subcarrier. Since a data symbol and a pilot are multiplexed together to a subcarrier, channel estimation performance can be improved.
