    Abstract: A method, computer-readable medium, and device for deploying virtual network functions in response to detecting an emergency event are disclosed. A method may detect an emergency event associated with a first location, deploy a first virtual network function on a first host device of the wireless network in a central zone associated with the first location, in response to detecting the emergency event, and configure a first alarm threshold for the first virtual network function that is indicative of a type loading condition at the first virtual network function. The method may further deploy a second virtual network function on a second host device of the wireless network in a second zone and configure a second alarm threshold for the second virtual network function that is indicative of the type of loading condition at the second virtual network function.

    Abstract: Facilitating radio access resource sharing and intelligent dynamic carrier capacity division is provided herein. A system comprises a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations that can comprise designating first portions of a radio resource to a first radio network device and second portions of the radio resource to a second radio network device. The operations can also comprise indicating in a header of a physical layer section of the radio resource that the first portions are for the first radio network device and that the second portions of the radio resource are for the second radio network device. Further, the operations can comprise transmitting the radio resource to the first radio network device and the second radio network device.

    Abstract: Resource-sensitive token-based access point selection is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can generate a request for resources that can be shared with an selection component remote from the UE. The request for resources can be generated independent of the UE receiving information about an access point (AP) in range of the UE. The selection component can pair the UE with an AP resource based on AP data and UE data. The selection component can generate a token comprising information related to the pairing. The UE can receive the token via a device other than the AP or via the AP. The token can be employed by the UE to initiate a link to the AP to enable use of the AP resource by the UE. The link can be resource sensitive in view of the request for resources and available AP resources.

    Abstract: The functionality of Internet enabled devices, also referred to as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, is dependent upon network connectivity with application servers hosted in the cloud. The disclosed Internet enabled device application service chaining orchestrator (Orchestrator) may manage application servers according to application server parameters and may assist a network in managing communications between Internet enabled devices and their respective application servers in the cloud. The application server parameters for a particular application server may be assigned based on the IoT device that the particular application server supports (e.g., the device capabilities or network performance requirements). Exemplary application server parameters may include Industry Vertical (IV), which may be a designation for an industry or technical field that the IoT device and the application server supports. Each IV may include multiple Class of Service (CoS) (e.g., CoS1, CoS2, CoS3 . . . CoSn), which may be relative to each other or absolute. In addition, each CoS may include multiple service level agreements (SLA) (e.g., platinum, gold, silver), which may also be relative to each other or absolute. The application server parameters assigned to each application server may be stored in a database accessible by the Orchestrator. The Orchestrator may receive a message, identify at least one application server of a plurality of application servers based on the message, and identify application server parameters for the at least one application server. The Orchestrator may also assign one or more network communication parameters to the message based on the application server parameters for the at least one application server and cause a network to manage communications between an Internet enabled device and the at least one application server in accordance with the one or more network communication parameters

    Abstract: Determination of a current location of a mobile device based on exchange of messages between the mobile device and a remote device. The determination can be originated from the remote device and can be performed, in certain embodiments, by a system within a network that provides services to the mobile device. The location of the mobile device can be determined without reliance on a dedicated location service module (e.g., software or firmware) at the user equipment. The system can utilize signals from a global navigation satellite system or signals time-of-flight terrestrial signals emitted and/or received at the mobile device. In addition, the system can provide location information associated with the mobile device in response to a prompt from the remote device in instances in which the remote device is authorized to receive location information. An authorized remote device can be or can include a device associated with the user equipment or a third-party device.

    Abstract: Systems for a drone data storage or data locker system include an unmanned aerial vehicle, or drone, which includes sensors, including an imaging sensor, a communications interface, and a memory storing identity data associated with one or more users and observation data associated with the one or more users which is collected on a continuous basis. The drone may navigate to an area including individuals, and obtain, using the sensors, sensor data corresponding to the individuals. The drone may determine, based on the obtained sensor data and the identity data, that one of the individuals corresponds to identity data of a user stored in the memory. The drone may determine that the user corresponding to the identity data requires medical assistance, using the sensors. The drone may transmit health data associated with the user corresponding to the identity data, which may be used to administer care to the user.
