Abstract: Facilitating management of network resource allocation based on device effective isotropic radiated power in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise receiving, by a system comprising a processor, a first indication of a baseband output power of a mobile device and a second indication of a minimum peak effective isotropic radiated power of the mobile device. Further, the method can comprise scheduling, by the system, uplink physical resource blocks based on the first indication and the second indication, wherein the scheduling is performed during initial access. The method can also include communicating the device EIRP between network nodes during handover such that a target network device obtains the device EIRP from a source network device.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for sending queries and commands related to an extended idle mode discontinuous reception operation (eIDRX). There are vendor and manufacturer specific mechanisms for determining the eIDRX parameters of different, but there is currently not a network wide, standardized protocol for sending AT commands relating to eIDRX for device. In an embodiment, standardized eIDRX protocol can enable a mobile network to query a device to determine the current eIDRX mode and parameters, to query the device about the list/range of supported parameters, and to program the device to start using a new eIDRX parameter.

Data from the cellular network can be obtained. The can include the report and operational data associated with the cellular network. The operational data associated with the cellular network can include connection parameters associated with the connection between the user equipment and the cellular network. The data can be analyzed to determine one of the connection parameters that is to be manipulated, and a command that instructs a recipient of the command to manipulate the one of the connection parameters can be issued.

Abstract: Device capabilities of a communication device can be managed in a utilization-aware manner A resource management component (RMC) can analyze usage data and historical usage data relating to usage of resources relating to frequency bands in carrier aggregation, MIMO, and RATs associated with the device in connection with power usage of the device. RMC can determine whether to adjust the resources associated with the device, based on a result of the analyzing, a threshold data throughput, and/or a state of the display screen of the device, to facilitate controlling an amount of power utilized by the device. If the threshold data throughput is satisfied, the RMC can remove a frequency band(s), reduce the number of MIMO layers, or fall back from a newer RAT to a legacy RAT. RMC can use artificial intelligence to determine a threshold for data throughput and a threshold for the display screen timer.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards having a wireless network device assist a user equipment to facilitate narrow beam handover. A network device determines narrow beam handover candidates of neighbor cell sites based on geometric relationships between the user equipment, a serving cell site and the neighbor cell site candidates. Historical information such as previous narrow beam handovers from a serving beam to neighbor narrow beams can be used to select a lesser number of the possible candidate beams. The network device sends the candidate beams to the user equipment, which then measures and reports the measurements to the network device. If handover criteria based on the measurement is met, the network device orders a handover to a selected narrow beam, e.g., the narrow beam with the best measurement data of the candidates.

Further, the method can comprise providing, by the system and to the mobile device, information indicative of the action.
