Abstract:
The construction of a semantically associated computer search database is disclosed. A text catalog containing the text particulars and contents of a plurality of electronic documents, a term association database which joins text search terms with their semantic meanings or definitions, and a content association database which contains records associating text search terms and their contextual definitions in respect of individual electronic documents are used to in conjunction provide a text index in which it is possible to search based upon the actual definitions or meanings of certain text or terms within the electronic documents, reducing or refining query search result sets. A method of operating a search engine with the index in question, as well as other e-commerce methods employing the index as a refining tool are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for controlling air characteristics for storage facilities. A controller and temperature sensors can detect an external temperature and compare it to a reference temperature. Depending on the relationship between the external temperature and the reference temperature (e.g. warmer or colder) the controller can initiate a burner, open an air intake, and operate fans to achieve desirable conditions within the facility efficiently.
Abstract:
An ice cube machine that generates ice cubes having an alcohol content of at least 2-5%. The ice cube machine operates at temperatures of no greater than 0° F., and typically at least 0° F. or colder. An ice dispensing system monitors the amount of ice cubes dispensed from the machine and can determine the amount of alcohol dispensed from the system.
Abstract:
An inline chlorinator with a housing having an inlet end and an outlet end in communication with the swimming pool bringing water from the pool through the inlet end and back to the pool from the outlet end and an upper compartment having an electronics section is provided. It includes a power source coupling and an at least one sensor sensing changes in the power source coupling. A controller unit contained within the electronics section, the controller unit being electrically coupled to a power source and an at least one electrolytic plate. An at least one hours of operation counter is provided. A heat sink member is also provided and is in thermal communication with the controller, where the flow of the water in the swimming pool water purification system cools the heat sink member, controller unit, and the electronics in the electronics section. Where the heat sink is separated from the water coming in the inlet end by a separation section, the separation section being a concurrent wall of the electronics compartment and the separation section in direct contact with the water coming from the pool at the inlet end, the separation section being in direct contact with the heat sink and both the heat sink and the separation section being continually cooled by the water flowing in through the inlet end of the housing.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to, in one embodiment, a waterfall apparatus having an at least one water supply inflow supplying water to the waterfall apparatus and a body member having the water flowing therethrough. A water accumulation portion of the body member can be coupled to and filled by a water supply inflow. An at least one baffle having an at least one tube member interspaced thereon and extends from the accumulation portion of the body member to an outlet portion of the body member. An outlet flow path is in communication with the outlet portion of the body member, passing the water from the outlet portion of the body member along the outlet flow path and through a waterfall outlet, forming a sheet like waterfall outflow. The at least one interspaced tube member, angled entry portion and optional deflection member work to deflect, slow and smooth the flow, reduce debris accumulation and generally improve the sheet like quality and consistency of the flow of the sheet-like waterfall.

Abstract:
A backup system stores configuration data for several interdependent systems in a single backup store. As the systems are being configured and when changes are made to the systems, the backup store is updated with the change. The systems may be configured with each system having a designated role. During a restore operation, an otherwise unallocated system may assume a particular role and use the configuration logic defined for the role that may be taken from the backup store. The system may perform the restore in conjunction with the other systems and the interdependencies with the systems.
Abstract:
Information can be presented to a user as high-level content that is dynamically presented to a user based on a request, a user role, extrinsic information and so forth. As the user navigates the high level content, lower level information that was masked can be selectively revealed or exposed. Upon request, the user can be automatically transitioned back to the high level content. Different versions of a document can be maintained within a master document and, upon request, one of the versions can be displayed as a function of a rendering device.
Abstract:
Communications, such as emails or other information, in a work setting can be retained in a shared database that operates similar to an Internet social network. As work activities are performed, the content of the work activities can be associated with one or more shared databases based on the individual performing the activities, a common topic or theme associated with the activity and/or a manual entry. As various individuals review information contained in the shared database, notifications relating to who reviewed the content and a time of review can be sent to a contributor of the content to provide for accountability issues.
Abstract:
A gas separation system for extraction of gas from pressurized fluid has a gas sampling interface and gas circulation tubing to pass sampled gas to a gas sensor to determine the character or a property of the gas. The gas sampling interface includes a semi-permeable membrane in the form of tubing having an inner core volume with an internal support that provides multiple supporting surfaces to prevent collapse of the tubing wall against external pressure and provides interstitial spaces for the flow of gas. Internal supports may include a coil of spring-like configuration fitted coaxially within the tubing; or multiple filaments that form a longitudinal bundle within the core of the tubing, or both. An outer tubular conduit surrounding the semi-permeable membrane tubing provides a flow path for the external fluid to increase the rate of diffusion of dissolved gases through the semi-permeable membrane.
