Abstract: Using inductive currents to wirelessly charge a device via a device connected to a power source. This inductive charging may result when a first mobile device recognizes a second mobile device via a wireless connection (e.g., Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Near-Field Communication (NFC), or the like). An application stored on the first mobile device may recognize a second mobile device by transmitting an advertising packet when the first mobile device is connected to a power source. An advertising packet may be received by the second mobile device and the second mobile device may transmit a response to the advertising packet in order to generate a connection between the first and second mobile devices. The response may include data such as, connection strength, response time, connection preferences, and the like. Upon detection and connection, the second mobile device may be wireles sly charged by the first device via inductive charging.

Abstract: Computer implemented systems and methods are provided for an automatic teller machine. In some embodiments, an automatic teller machine may comprise a display, a physical barrier configured to intersect a line of sight from a location adjacent the automatic teller machine to the display, one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to determine that a user is operating the automatic teller machine. The one or more processors may be further configured to alter a degree of opacity of the physical barrier, based on the determining.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to localizing and identifying a mobile computing device using a short-range mesh network. A user of the mobile computing device may be authenticated. When the mobile computing device connects to the mesh network, the location of the mobile computing device may be determined by determining which mesh network nodes the mobile computing device is connected to, triangulating the position of the mobile computing device based on signal direction via directional antennas arranged on the mesh network nodes, and/or measuring signal strength of the mobile computing device at the mesh network nodes.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques communicate in a cellular communication frequency range, detect a resonant signal in response to the communication in the cellular communication frequency range for cellular communication, the resonant signal to indicate presence of a contactless card. Embodiments also include enabling a near-field communication device to send a communication to the contactless card based on the detection of the resonant signal, the near-field communication device to communicate with the contactless card in a near-field communication frequency range.

Abstract: Systems and methods for initiating and/or facilitating a financial transaction in response to detecting and translating a spatial gesture may be provided. A payor transaction device may be capable of detecting, via a motion-detecting device, a payor spatial gesture corresponding to a payment gesture of one or more predetermined spatial gestures and, responsive to detecting the payor spatial gesture, receiving payee account information from a payee transaction device. The payor transaction device may also be capable of transmitting, to a payor computing device, transaction data comprising the payee account information and data indicative of the payor spatial gesture. The payor computing device may be capable of transmitting at least a portion of the transaction data to a financial service provider terminal to enable the financial service provider terminal to facilitate the requested transaction.

Abstract: A system for securely updating an electronic transaction card held by an account holder with an additional account and/or account data is described. A dynamic transaction card may be securely updated with an additional account by using pre-stored shell data and/or inactive data, whereby the pre-stored shell data may be populated using data received from an issuer system and/or the inactive data may be activated via an activation signal received from a mobile device. A backend server may determine, via a fraud determination, expiration determination, and/or user-request, that new account data should be transmitted to an account holder. The dynamic transaction card may receive the data associated with a notification, update a display, instruct an EMV applet to use a key associated with a received EMV key identifier for signatures, and/or update any additional data stored on the dynamic transaction card.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in which a symbol associated with an ATM of a plurality of ATMs is made available to a customer in response to a request for access to the ATM. The symbol identifies the ATM to the user in locations having multiple ATMs, thus avoiding confusion for the user. The symbol may be used for any of the possible transactions between the user and the ATM, such as balance inquiries, deposits, transfers, and cash withdrawals.

Abstract: A dynamic transaction card with a display for providing barcodes is described. The barcodes can be generated by driving individual light emitting diodes (LEDs) of the display at frequencies of greater than 50 Hz. Due to the high frequency, the barcode can be readable by a barcode scanner, while remaining invisible to the human eye. The barcode can also be generated by driving a first set of LEDs at a different frequency and/or time interval than a second set of LEDs. Light waves from the first set of LEDs can constructively interfere with light waves from the second set of LEDs to create spatial voids readable by the barcode scanner.
