A method for the automatic initialization of the electronic wheel systems of a tire pressure checking system, performs the now described steps. Record signals are sent by electronic wheel systems. The received signals are evaluated on the basis of their signal strength by using criteria, which are obtained in at least one of the now described substeps. The signal strength in question of the received signals is average, the signal strength in question of the received signals is compared with a predefined threshold value, and the minimum and/or the maximum values of the signal strength of the received signals are calculated. The electronic wheel systems allocated to the tire pressure checking system are selected on the basis of the criteria obtained in the above-mentioned steps. The selected electronic wheel systems are automatically initializated.

In the method according to the invention and the arrangement or according to the invention for extracting extraction products in underground mining operations using the caving method, the extraction products (20) collapsing in an upper gate area (10) are extracted via at least one extraction funnel (13) or the like into an extraction path (14) driven below the gate and are transported away therein by means of an extraction conveyor (15). According to the invention the extraction funnels (13) are arranged laterally beside the extraction conveyor (15) and lead at their lower end into a ramp surface (17) inclined towards the extraction conveyor, the extraction products extracted from the gate through the extraction funnels being transported slidingly over the inclined ramp surface to the extraction conveyor. The inclined ramp surface is preferably formed by a loading ramp (22) which is so arranged in an extraction chamber (16) branching off laterally from the extraction path that its one end (19), disposed higher, is located below the extraction funnel and its other end (23), disposed lower, forms an outlet (21) towards the extraction conveyor.

The present invention relates to a method and a device for assigning an electronic wheel unit, which is assigned to a wheel of a vehicle and is for ascertaining at least one characteristic parameter of the wheel, to a side of the vehicle. In this case, a direction of rotation of the wheel is determined by means of the wheel unit. The direction of rotation of the wheel which is determined by means of the wheel unit is compared with a direction of rotation of another wheel which is determined by means of another wheel unit assigned to the other wheel, wherein the wheel and the other wheel are arranged on different sides of the vehicle on a shared axle. Depending on the comparison of the determined directions of rotation of the wheel and of the other wheel, the wheel unit is assigned on the basis of a first procedure for assigning the wheel unit to the side of the vehicle or on the basis of a second procedure for assigning the wheel unit to the side of the vehicle. In this case, the direction of rotation determined by the wheel unit is utilized in the first procedure, and the second procedure is independent of the direction of rotation determined by the wheel unit.
