摘要: Substituted cyclobutylamine derivativesb with a novel structure represented by the following formula (I), wherein R1 to R4 and Q each represents a specific substituent and, in particular, Q represents a quinolone derivative having a specific structure. These derivatives are useful as antibacterial compounds which have excellent antibacterial activity against a wide scope of bacteria including Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, exert potent antibacterial activity particularly against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains, penicillin-resistant pneumococcus strains and quinolone-resistant bacteria, and are also possessed of both excellent pharmacokinetics and high safety.

摘要: An invert rectifier is provided in which: cooling medium vapor sent from the evaporator is contacted with a weak solution sent from the regeneration unit, and the temperature of cooling medium vapor and the vapor component of absorbent are increased by the action of invert rectification, so that the enthalpy of cooling medium vapor supplied to the vapor-liquid mixer is enhanced. In this invert rectifier, cooling medium vapor is introduced to a lower portion of the container and a residual portion of the weak solution or all weak solution is introduced to an upper portion of the vapor-liquid mixer 16, so that the introduced cooling medium vapor and weak solution are subjected to vapor-liquid contact by the action of an opposed flow. Due to the foregoing, cooling medium vapor is generated, the temperature of which is high, and the amount of the vapor component of absorbent of which is large, so that the enthalpy of cooling medium vapor is enhanced. Even when the thus obtained cooling medium vapor is mixed with a weak solution in the vapor-liquid mixer 16, the temperature is seldom lowered in the mixing process, and an amount of heat exchange in the absorption regeneration heat exchanging section is increased, and the result coefficient is enhanced.

摘要: In a method and apparatus for packaging a rolled web, a feed roller is located near each of opposed end faces of the rolled web to be packaged. The axis of rotation of a feed roller is inclined with respect to the radial direction of the roll, which radial direction intersects perpendicularly to the direction along which a wrapping material having side edge parts folded in L-shapes is fed, such that the outer periphery of the axis of rotation, which outer periphery is taken in the radial direction of the roll, is more forward with respect to the direction, along which the wrapping material is fed, than the inner periphery of the axis of rotation. A folding member is located on the side more forward than the feed roller with respect to the direction, along which the wrapping material is fed. The folding member is supported such that the space between the folding member and the opposed end faces of the roll varies periodically. The feed roller rotates to feed the side edge part of the wrapping material while the side edge part is being imparted with tension towards the center of rotation of the roll. A slack portion of the side edge part of the wrapping material, which slack portion occurs on the side forward from the feed roller with respect to the direction, along which the wrapping material is fed, is folded by the folding member at predetermined intervals onto the opposed end faces of the roll.

摘要: A photographic film cartridge typically including a cartidge case having a longitudinal axis, opposite end walls and a film outlet for feeding the film out; a spool extending substantially coaxially with respect to the cartridge case and carried at the opposite end portions by the opposite end walls of the cartridge case for rotation about the longitudinal axis of the spool, the spool being capable of being rotated from outside of the cartridge case; a film wound into a roll on the spool with an end of the film connected with the spool; a slidable cover provided on the cartridge case for slidably moving along a surface of the cartridge case toward the direction inclined to the film feeding direction to slide toward the direction to open and shut the film outlet, and further including device for keeping the film tightly wound into a roll on the spool, whereby the tip end of the film can be fed out hrough the film outlet by rotating the spool in the direction opposite to the film winding direction.

摘要: An apparatus can discriminate defects such as stains on bank notes by an optical scanner, A/D converter and comparing device. The apparatus comprises an optical scanner for projecting scanning light toward a detection area of the bank note which is being conveyed through the optical scanning device; a photoelectric converter for converting an optically scanned signal from the optical scanner into an electric analog signal whose level is substantially in proportion to the level of the optically scanned signal; an analog/digital converter for converting the electric analog signal into a digital signal; a timing control device for applying sampling pulses to the analog/digital converter so as to produce a sampled digital value from the analog/digital converter; a storing device for storing at least a presettable value which is used to discriminate the bank notes; and an arithmetic operation device for performing the arithmetic operation by introducing the sampled digital value and the presettable value and the presettable value so as to discriminate defects in the detection area of the bank notes.

摘要: A device for detecting the thickness of paper sheet such as bank note used for a paper sheet transfer system comprises a thickness detection roll rotatably supported at a free end of a pivotal lever and urged against a paper sheet transfer roll, via a paper sheet when the paper sheet is transferred therebetwen. The pivotal lever is pivotally supported by a lever mounting unit, which is detachably mounted on a frame of the transfer system. The lever mounting unit is positioned in a predetermined mounting position by positioning pins and locked at that position by a fixing means including a toggle mechanism. With a change of the thickness of paper sheet being transferred the gap between an electromagnetic sensor mounted in the frame and a corresponding sensing surface of the lever is changed, and thereby the paper sheet thickness is electromagnetically detected.
