摘要: A foam pad attached to a portion of an elastically expansible cohesive article, e.g., a tape or bandage, the pad is placed over a wound, sore, or ulcer, and the remainder of the cohesive tape or bandage is wrapped around the afflicted body part, and the tape or bandage compresses the pad against the wound. Preferably, the foam pad is hydrophilic foam, the oppositely facing surfaces of the tape or bandage to which the pad is attached are each coated with a cohesive composition, the pad has a thickness greater than about 0.1 inches and is sized and adapted to cover a wound on a body part, and the longer elastically expansible tape or bandage is sized to wrap several times around the body part. The product may be provided as a roll in which the cohesive coated surfaces contact and cohesively adhere to each other, and may be in sterile condition in a sealed package. If intended for a single use, the product may include only a single pad.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems and methods for facilitating communication between a customer at a retail store and a specialized agent at a remote location. The customer uses an in-store smart client kiosk to initiate a communication session with the agent. The agent can instruct the smart client kiosk to display information relevant to the customer's questions. In embodiments, the messages are XML messages transmitted between the agent's device and the smart client kiosk. The XML information contains information to retrieve content, rather than the content itself, which allows the communication to take place over a small bandwidth connection. Communication takes place in an environment that does not require co-browsing, which allows the agent to analyze large amounts of information but send only helpful information to the client.

摘要: The present invention provides compositions that feature improved preferential adhesion and release characteristics with respect to a substrate and a mold having imprinting material disposed therebetween. To that end, the compositions facilitate bifurcation of the imprinting into a surfactant-component-rich sub-portion and a surfactant-component-depleted sub-portion located between said surfactant-component-rich sub-portion and said substrate. This surfactant-component-rich sub-portion attenuates the adhesion forces between the mold and the imprinting material, once solidified.

摘要: A shield for sealing a joint includes a first end, a second end and an annular shell. The first end is adapted for axial retention on an outer joint part, where the outer joint part is rotationally coupled to an inner joint part. The second end is adapted for abutting contact with a semi-spherical portion of the inner joint part. The annular shell extends between the first end and the second end thereby providing a seal for the joint. Also provided is a grease shield sealing system for a direct torque flow constant velocity joint.

摘要: A breading machine for dispensing a coating material onto a food product includes a breading chamber, a continuous conveyor for transporting food products through the breading chamber, a hopper including at least one downspout and a sloped bottom for dispensing coating material onto the food products, a hopper conveyor positioned within the hopper. At least one of an angular position or a vertical position of the hopper conveyor is adjustable to accommodate a variety of free flowing and non-free flowing coating materials. One or more air knives may be positioned in the downspouts to fluidize the coating material to alleviate bridging and/or build-up of the coating material within the downspout.

摘要: A portable friction forge welder that applies a direct rotational load to workpieces via a rotational actuator and a direct axial load to workpieces via an axial actuator, where the rotational actuator and the axial actuator have separate and independent power sources. The portable friction forge welder relies on a stored energy linear axial actuator or a center-hole hydraulic axial actuator to achieve high axial forces and a high torque, low rotational velocity to achieve rotational forces, enabling the welder to achieve higher quality welds using larger diameter workpieces than conventional portable friction welders. By applying a high axial force between workpieces prior to high torque rotation of the workpieces results in improved quality welds. A unique clamping device maintains a fixed positional relationship between the workpieces and includes a unique shroud that enables friction welds under a positive pressure inert atmosphere.

摘要: A method and system to monitor a high voltage power relay operable to conduct electrical power from a source to a load, during each vehicle shutdown event. The system includes the electrical relay with a resistive device, electrically connected in parallel circuit, a controllable electrical load device, and a sensing device. A controller is connected to the electrical relay and each sensing device, and operable to identify a low electrical load condition at the load. The controller commands the load to operate at a known current draw level, commands the relay open, and monitors a change in power to the load device when the relay is commanded open. The electrical relay is functioning properly when the change in electrical power to the load exhibits a known profile over time, when the electrical relay is controlled to the commanded-open position.
