Abstract: A method of coordinating positioning signaling includes: identifying a first user equipment (UE) served by a base station and a second UE served by the base station, the base station being configured to send a base station positioning signal wirelessly at a plurality of base-station-transmission times; allocating first times to the first UE, for sending first UE positioning signals, and second times to the second UE, for sending second UE positioning signals, at least one of the first times being different from at least one of the second times; sending a first communication to cause the first UE to send at least a respective one of the first UE positioning signals at each of the first times; and sending a second communication to cause the second UE to send at least a respective one of the second UE positioning signals at each of the second times.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communications. In an aspect, a network entity obtains a user equipment (UE) capability report, the UE capability report including first and second UE capabilities, the first UE capability indicating a capability of the UE to measure positioning signals in a first band, the second UE capability indicating a capability of the UE to measure positioning signals in a second band, and configures the UE with an indication of one or more downlink positioning signal resources for measurement by the UE based on a function of the first and second UE capabilities, the one or more downlink positioning signal resources being for transmission by one or more transmission/reception points (TRPs), each downlink positioning signal resource occupying a frequency region that is at least part of the first or second band.

Abstract: An entity, such as the base station, user equipment (UE) or location server may determine that the UE should be configured with a measurement gap for intra-frequency positioning measurements outside the downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) of the UE. The determination may be based several factors including whether the DL BWP is less than the available bandwidth for the positioning signals transmitted by the base station, with the same or differing numerologies, if a number of resource blocks for the DL BWP is less than a minimum number of resource blocks required by the UE, or if the DL BWP is less than a minimum fraction of a total available bandwidth of the DL PRS signals, or based on a desired positioning accuracy of the UE.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) operating in discontinuous reception (DRX) mode receives a DRX configuration, receives a reference signal resource configuration, determines, at least based on the DRX configuration and the reference signal resource configuration, whether an overlap exists between a reference signal occasion of a plurality of reference signal occasions of the reference signal resource configuration and an active time of the DRX configuration, receives or transmits at least based on a determined overlap, at least a first reference signal in the reference signal occasion, and receives or transmits, while remaining in an active state of the DRX configuration, at least based on the determined overlap, at least a second reference signal in remaining reference signal occasions of the plurality of reference signal occasions after expiration of the active time.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques related to wireless communication system in which a network node (e.g., a base station, gNB, etc.) may be allowed to puncture a reference signal (RS) to deliver high priority data (e.g., URLLC data) to a user equipment (UE) that is not currently being served by the network node. The RS may comprise a puncturable subset and an unpuncturable subset. The puncturable subset may comprise resources of the RS that are allowed to be punctured, and the unpuncturable subset may comprise resources of the RS that are prohibited from being punctured. The network node may transmit the RS such that unpuncturable subset indicates whether or not the puncturable subset of the RS has or has not been punctured. In this way, the network node can quickly inform whether or not the RS has been punctured to carry high priority data.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) periodically obtains its location using UE based Observed Time Difference of Arrival (OTDOA). The location is based on Reference Signal Time Differences (RSTDs) measured by the UE for downlink (DL) signals transmitted by each of a plurality of base stations, and the most current Real Time Differences (RTDs) for pairs of base stations. The RTDs may be determined by the UE using the RSTD measurements and Round Trip Time (RTT) measurements determined by a network entity or by the UE. The RTDs may be determined less frequently than the UE location to reduce network and UE load. Location of the UE may be improved based on testing a rate of change for each of the RTDs. The RTD determination may be improved using measurements from a plurality of UEs.
