Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may transmit an announcement that indicates a plurality of future resource reservations. The wireless communication device may transmit multiple sets of announcements that indicate one or more reservations and may vary the transmission frequency thereof based on proximity to the communications. The wireless communication device may transmit an announcement that indicates a future communication and a cancellation indication that indicates a cancellation of the communication. The wireless communication device may transmit a preemption indication that indicates that resources reserved for an announced future communication have been preempted for another communication. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring a search space for sidelink communications between a plurality of user equipments (UEs). Particularly, the techniques described herein configure a search space (e.g., subset of all available sub-channels) to decode the sidelink packets (e.g., physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH)) transmitted between a first UE and a second UE over sidelink communication without the need for the receiver UE (e.g., second UE) to perform blind decoding of all sidelink sub-channels as is currently required in conventional systems. Thus, the disclosed techniques reduce latency and maximize the resource utilization (e.g., by using less processing power and bandwidth) for sidelink communications.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in communication with a base station may utilize multiple code word (MCW) transmissions within a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. An original transmission has a first transport block allocated to a first code word and a second transport block allocated to a second code word. Each transport block includes multiple code blocks grouped into code block groups. The UE receives a negative acknowledgement indicating that a subset of the code block groups were not successfully received. The UE retransmits the subset of the code block groups on at least one of the first code word or the second code word in a retransmission in the HARQ process. At least one code block is retransmitted on a different code word in the retransmission than in the original transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may receive a signal indicating a configuration for a symbol reserved for automatic gain control. Based on the configuration for the symbol reserved for automatic gain control, the UE may multiplex assistance data with the symbol reserved for automatic gain control. In some examples, the UE may multiplex physical sidelink shared channel data or physical sidelink control channel data or both physical sidelink shared channel data and physical sidelink control channel data with the symbol reserved for automatic gain control. The UE may then transmit the multiplexed assistance data in the symbol reserved for automatic gain control.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing and reporting reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements. In particular, the techniques described herein may allow a user equipment (UE) to efficiently identify reference signals on which to perform RSRP measurements (e.g., based on signaling from a base station), identify when to report RSRP measurements (e.g., aperiodically, periodically, or semi-persistently), and identify a channel on which to report RSRP measurements (e.g., a sidelink channel or an uplink channel). In addition, the techniques described herein may also allow a UE to efficiently identify open loop parameters to use to determine an appropriate transmit power for transmitting to another UE over a sidelink.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media that enable and support backward cancellation indication for sidelink transmissions are described. In a situation where a sidelink data transmission with respect to one or more resources previously reserved for sidelink communication is ineffectual, a sidelink transmission user equipment (UE) may indicate the ineffectual data transmission in a transmission opportunity subsequent to the transmission having an ineffectual data transmission, such as by transmitting a backward cancellation indication (BCI). The BCI may provide information to a corresponding sidelink receiver UE regarding the resource with respect to the ineffectual data transmission. The sidelink receiver UE may use information provided by the BCI in determining whether to alter utilization of signals received on resources of the ineffectual data transmission. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support closed-loop transmit power control (TPC) for user equipment (UE) sidelink communications. TPC information may be provided, by a first UE receiving transmissions from a second UE, with respect to a sidelink implemented between the UEs. TPC information may be multiplexed with sidelink data traffic in a sidelink communication between UEs. The TPC information may include a TPC indicator and one or more TPC messages for providing TPC commands with respect to one or more sidelinks. The sidelink data traffic of some examples may include data-only traffic, such as semi-persistent scheduled (SPS) data traffic, that is decoupled from accompanying sidelink control information (SCI). The first UE may additionally receive a second DCI which indicates a second set of resources which are cancelled from the first set of resources. Based on the cancellation indication, the first UE may modify or cancel at least a portion of the sidelink transmission originally scheduled for the second UE, and may transmit the modified sidelink transmission over a portion of the first set of resources in accordance with the cancellation indication, the first DCI, and the second DCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may alter, or otherwise cancel, a sidelink communication as a result of a cancelation indicator (CI) corresponding to a different UE to support automatic gain control (AGC) calibration. The UE may determine to cancel or alter sidelink resources that at least partially overlap in time and are adjacent to, yet non-overlapping, in frequency to a high priority transmission. In some implementations, the UE may cancel the sidelink communication from an earliest overlapping symbol to the end of a slot. In other implementations, the UE may cancel a portion of the sidelink communication and resume sidelink communications within the same slot. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may utilize one or more reference signals or symbols to enable AGC recalibration during the slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a base station) may transmit a set of data messages to a set of UEs, the set of data messages including one or more data messages for each UE of the set of UEs. Each UE may select a respective sequence representing feedback associated with the one or more data messages, the sequence being selected from a sequence pool that includes a first plurality of sequences representing acknowledgement feedback and a second plurality of sequences representing negative acknowledgement feedback, individual sequences of at least the second set of sequences being non-orthogonal to each other. Each UE may transmit the respective selected sequence to the wireless device via a shared set of time and frequency resources that are shared for feedback messages from the set of UEs.
