Abstract: Methods and systems for transmitting one or more sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets for one or more usages are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method performed by a user equipment includes: receiving one or more configuration parameters from a wireless network node; determining, based on the one or more configuration parameters, one or more usages for a plurality of SRS resources within the one or more SRS resource sets; and transmitting an SRS using the plurality of SRS resources configured for the one or more usages.

A wireless communication device may receive a configuration to determine a first frequency location of an aperiodic SRS from a wireless communication node. The wireless communication device may receive a downlink control information (DCI) transmission. The wireless communication device may transmit, responsive to the DCI transmission, the aperiodic SRS using the first frequency location.
