摘要: An ultrasonic inspection system includes an ultrasonic sensor and a control device. The ultrasonic sensor has a piezoelectric element that transmits and receives ultrasonic waves and plate portions and that are arranged so as to contact an upper surface of the piezoelectric element and have different thicknesses. The control device acquires a propagation time of a reflected wave reflected on an upper surface of the plate portion, calculates a sound velocity of the plate portion using the propagation time of the reflected wave and a thickness of the plate portion, and corrects a sound velocity of a pipe and acquires a sound velocity of the plate portion based on the calculated sound velocity. In addition, the control device acquires a propagation time of a reflected wave reflected on an upper surface of the plate portion, and calibrates a time axis based on the propagation time of the reflected wave, a thickness of the plate portion, and the sound velocity of the plate portion.

摘要: To more reliably supply cooling water to a reactor pressure vessel and a reactor containment vessel using a back-up building if a severe accident should occur, a boiling water type nuclear power plant includes a nuclear reactor building including a reactor containment vessel, and an external building, which is installed independently outside the nuclear reactor building and which has an anti-hazard property. The external building has a power source and an operating panel independent of the nuclear reactor building. The boiling water type nuclear power plant includes a water injection pump installed inside the external building, an alternative water injection pipe performing water injection at least on a reactor pressure vessel or the reactor containment vessel in the nuclear reactor building from the water injection pump, and a valve connected to the alternative water injection pipe, making it possible to perform alternative water injection if a severe accident occurs.

摘要: A chimney arranged inside of a reactor pressure vessel of a natural-circulation boiling water reactor is provided. The chimney includes plural flow channels which guide a steam-water two-phase flow generated in a reactor core to the upper part of the reactor pressure vessel. Each of the flow channels is formed by plural flow channel separation walls whose lower-most part is supported by a chimney lattice plate. Chimney spacers that support a horizontal load are arranged between the flow channel separation walls of the adjacent flow channels. Chimney support rings that support the horizontal load are arranged at the outermost periphery of the plural flow channels that are supported by the chimney lattice plate.

摘要: A neutron monitoring system for a nuclear reactor can correct measured neutron flux by taking into consideration neutron moderation based on whether a neutron detector is fully immersed in coolant water or exposed above the water level. The neutron detector and a water detection sensor are mounted at the same height in the nuclear reactor. The water detection sensor includes a thermocouple and a heating element positioned to heat the thermocouple. A temperature measuring component is connected to the thermocouple. A water existence determining component can determine, based on temperature measured by the temperature measuring component, whether the water detection sensor (and thus the neutron detector) is underwater. A correction component can correct a neutron detection signal from the neutron detector in accordance with whether the neutron detector is below or above the water level.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for treating a radioactive organic waste, the radioactive organic waste including a cation exchange resin adsorbing radionuclide ions, the method including the step of bringing the radioactive organic waste into contact with an organic acid salt aqueous solution containing an organic acid salt and whereby desorbing the radionuclide ions from the cation exchange resin, in which the organic acid salt contained in the organic acid salt aqueous solution includes a cation that is more readily adsorbable by the cation exchange resin than hydrogen ion is. This enables reduction in concentration of a radioactive substance in the radioactive organic waste and reduction in amount of a high-dose radioactive waste.

摘要: An ultrasonic reactor water level measuring device and an evaluation method are provided and prevent a reduction in the measurement accuracy of a water level that is in a wide measurement range. The ultrasonic reactor water level measuring device includes an upper tube extending from a gas phase portion in a reactor, a lower tube extending from a liquid phase portion in the reactor, measurement tubes connected to each other and arranged at multiple stages between the upper tube and the lower tube, and units for generating and receiving ultrasonic waves, the units being arranged at bottom portions of the measurement tubes. The ultrasonic reactor water level measuring device measures levels of water within the measurement tubes and calculates a water level within the reactor from the sum of the measured water levels, the sum excluding an overlapped part of the measurement tubes.

摘要: An ultrasonic inspection method and an ultrasonic inspection device allow three-dimensional inspection data and three-dimensional shape data to be appropriately positioned on a display screen and allow a defect echo and a shape echo to be quickly identified even when information on the relative positions of a probe and an object to be inspected is not provided. The ultrasonic inspection data that is generated from the waveforms of ultrasonic waves received by an ultrasonic probe is compared with a plurality of ultrasonic propagation data pieces calculated by a ray tracing method on the basis of the three-dimensional shape data on an object to be inspected. The position of the three-dimensional inspection data or the three-dimensional shape data is moved relative to the other data position on the basis of the comparison results, thereby displaying the three-dimensional inspection data and the three-dimensional shape data while overlapping each other.

摘要: A core of a light water reactor has a plurality of fuel assemblies. The fuel assemblies include a plurality of fuel rods in which a lower end is supported by a lower tie-plate and an upper end is supported by an upper tie-plate. The fuel rods form plenums above a nuclear fuel material zone and have a neutron absorbing material filling zone under the nuclear fuel material zone. Neutron absorbing members attached to the upper tie-plate are disposed between mutual plenums of the neighboring fuel rods above the nuclear fuel material zone. The neutron absorbing members have a length of 500 mm and are positioned at a distance of 300 mm from the nuclear fuel material zone. Even if the overall core is assumed to become a state of 100% void, no positive reactivity is inserted to the core.

摘要: The invention provides a valve which suppresses a continuous corrosion of a chemical compound phase such as an eutectic carbide or the like in a valve seat, and improves a corrosion resistance, an impact resistance and an erosion resistance of the valve seat. The invention disperses a chemical compound phase such as the eutectic carbide or the like crystallizing in a dendrite gap as a granular shape or a blocky shape which is equal to or less than about 100 μm, by moving a tool rotating in a crimped state by a load application to a vertical direction to a surface of the valve seat so as to carry out a friction stir processing, and forming a weld metallographic structure of a surface layer portion of the valve seat as a cubic.
