摘要： An adjustable plant stake assembly having cross braces, stake anchors and couplers is provided that can be used with conventional plant stakes. The cross braces extend between two adjacent plant stakes and are adjustable in length to adjust the spacing between the stakes. The stake anchors support the stakes and include a step portion that enables the anchor to be driven into the ground by stepping on the step. As the plant grows in height, each plant stake can be lengthened by connecting an additional plant stake to the top of the existing stake using one of the couplers. A kit including the plant stakes, cross braces, stake anchors and couplers is also included.

摘要： A fastener and method of securing a plant to a wire is described. The fastener may be used, for example, to secure a grapevine to a foliage wire. In one embodiment, a flexible fastener is provided that can secure the plant. The fastener includes two convex portions for attaching to the wire, and can deform to restrain the plant against the wire. In one embodiment, the fastener is deformable to allow the two convex portions to overlap and accept the wire, thus restraining a plant. In another embodiment, a biodegradable fastener is provided that can easily secure a plant to a wire, and which can be left in the field to decompose.

Such climb strings are used particularly in hop growing in the form of plastic strings or metal wires. The aim of the invention is to be able to tie plant climb strings more efficiently than in prior art. Said aim is achieved by a system for tying plant climb strings to guide wires, said system comprising: a traveling gear device; an arm structure that is coupled to the traveling gear device; a device for supplying the plant climb strings; a tying unit which is fastened to the mast structure and is used for tying the plant climb string to a selected section of the guide wire; a device for detecting the guide wire; and a manipulating device for adjusting the position of the tying unit relative to the guide wire. The detecting device is configured so as to detect the position of the guide wire in a contactless fashion.

摘要： A tree trunk restraint collar for supporting young or transplanted trees or restraining established trees to a desired position. The preferred round collar is flexible and split at one place so that it may be twisted apart to be installed around the trunk. Thus placed, it is allowed to reform to its natural, circular shape. Some form of cord or wire is then looped through collar eyelets and around the outside middle of the collar, to secure the collar within its closed and circular condition at the one end of the cord and to secure the collar to support posts at the other end. The ring fits loosely around the trunk to allow growth and flow of natural fluids within the trunk. At the same time the ring guides and restrains the tree when forces such as wind, gravity, or the attraction of sunlight are exerted upon it. The device is economical to make and install and is effective in its function.
